Re: Collectors: Don't leave your stuff out in the light!!

Haha, those yellow Dreamcasts. I read that nowdays PC and console makers favor black cases to hide the yellowing problem. Will we have yellow Xbox 360's in ten years, or has the plastic gotten better? With PVC figures, some of them will also get sticky and/or hard and brittle with the PVC material u...

Collectors: Don't leave your stuff out in the light!!

I'm a fairly heavy figure collector so I had to learn this the hard way, but I hope that my advice and knowledge can help others to preserve their collectibles. Light destroys pretty much everything! Most people know direct sunlight fades clothes, but light of almost any kind damages almost anything...

Re: Virtual On Series 20th Anniversary

It doesn't seem to me that OT is more popular in Japan than Force is. Rather, they seem to have attracted separate groups of enthusiasts. So they complement each other well. I don't mind that the VO series ended. It lived a long time and established a franchise. There are some other run-on fighting ...

Re: Virtual On Series 20th Anniversary

Wait, Marz has no trophies? Woohoo I hate trophies! I thought all PS3 games had to have trophies these days?

What's "Playstation Classic" as opposed to PSN game? I've never purchased a whole game from PSN before, just game add-on DLC.

Does OMG have trophies?

Re: Virtual On Series 20th Anniversary

I've never gotten into the Hatsune Miku video games thing, though I have a couple figures of the character. So I'm not too sure what it's about. I wouldn't mind a Hatsune Miku: Project VO though.

Re: advanced techniques

Your down on the controller pad probably doesn't work. It doesn't work on any of mine either and I can't do dashing CC with it. In general, a crapped out direction (here it's down) may work if you slowly move to it and keep it held down, but in reality you can't baby the controls like that and when ...

Re: Weekly Best of 9 Challenge

I feel like some of us, namely neoken and FlyExponent (both of whom I think are crucial to make this challenge interesting) may be slowing down on their rate of playing these days. So, before they die off too, I think we better schedule this event As Soon As Possible. Since aniking is the best playe...

Pacific Rim

I just saw this movie in the theaters yesterday. It is really good, maybe the best movie I ever saw. I'm not really into giant robot shows in general, so it's funny that a couple of my favorite movies and animes are both giant robot shows. They claim they tried to make an original show, but I think ...

Re: God's Garden (Japan) Tournament for OMG, VOOT &VO4 7/25-

Tournament appears to have been won by a Battler player whose path to the championship was as difficult as could be. In succession, he had to defeat a powerhouse trio of what would probably be considered the best Fei-Yen, then the best Cypher, then the best Dordray. Now I don't feel so bad when I lo...

Re: God's Garden (Japan) Tournament for OMG, VOOT &VO4 7/25-

For some reason it never occurred to me to ask this until now, but since this is an online tournament held during normal popular hours in Japan, if people randomly decide to play VOOT for fun during that time, are they going to be seeing the tournament players in the lobby? What happens if non-parti...

Re: Weekly Best of 9 Challenge

Haha wow, I never expected such an interested response! Now comes the problem, working out a time that most of us can be present, given all our different time zones. Realistically speaking, I think we should shoot for a time that most of us think we can make it, but we might have to accept it as bei...

Re: Weekly Best of 9 Challenge

I don't know if we have gotten any good or not, but rust would not be an excuse for those of us that are playing semi-actively. The current generation of players is getting competent though, I think the previous champions are not safe. Now would be the perfect time for you guys to come out of retire...

Re: VO: Force - who's in?!

That still won't help me much because I don't get home until usually 7 pm. However, today I may try to make an exception and go home extra early, maybe 5 pm? So that would be 8 pm pacific time. Do we have to play Ranked? I wouldn't mind playing Ranked if I could do it regularly, but I doubt I will b...

Re: VO: Force - who's in?!

There's absolutely no way for me to ever play at 5 pm pacific time, oh well. =D

I live in Hawaii so that is like 2 pm here, which is a time when I'm NEVER able to be online playing games.

A few hours earlier or later, and I would be able to play sometimes.

How do you know the machine is from Japan, and how do you find out the condition?

The website seems to be based in Hong Kong.

Re: E3 2013

I hate the Xbox One and if I went I would probably get arrested for throwing tomatoes at Microsoft. I'm not really looking forward to the PS4 either seeing as how you will have to pay for PS+ to play online with it. I've never been willing to pay to play online for Xbox 360, so I may just give up co...

Re: Getting used to Twin Stick Controls

I played with twin sticks from the ground up, starting with both VOOM and VOOT in the arcade. However, once I had access to console versions and controllers, I was immediately quicker and faster with the controller. Unfortunately, there's some stuffs that you can do faster or better on twinsticks, l...

Re: VO Marz remake

If you only have a PS3, or just prefer to play on PSN since it's free, then I don't see why you wouldn't want to play Marz. Since VOOT and Force are only on Xbox 360. I still use the traditional graphics settings for VOOT. They are darker than they should be, VOOT on Dreamcast was not this dark. I t...
