Re: Need some advice with sega saturn twinstick modding
Hi, yes I still have the same email address, lol. Wow, I have to try & remember what I did. Yes I did get them back on & the stick works great although I haven't used it in a while. From memory I think I had to push really hard down & eventually I could get the clip on. Sorry, that's abo...

Re: Kaiyodo Xebec Toys Virtual On series figures?
I got the second Temjin off eBay many years ago and haven't seen any others since.
Not sure if you can still buy them. I'd like one of the new Raiden models, but they are too expensive for me.

Re: 8/14 Official site update: Twinstick EX redesigned AGAIN
I don't like either design to be perfectly honest, but if I had to choose one, it would have to be the former design. The new design looks ridiculous! - that slant is way too much for my liking. You can still have the slant, but not right down to the bottom - stop it back a bit sooner and drop down ...

Re: Somebody pick this up FAST!!!
It would require a complete rewire, since these old deluxe cabinets didn't adhere to any standards. Even converting a VER.5.2/5.4 cab to VER.5.66 would be a hassle. It has been done, though (SHGL had an OMG cab converted to VER.5.4). If I could even find the correct harnesses, they would cost hundr...

It wouldn't be that difficult to convert it to VOOT, or would it?MentholMoose wrote:I'm not really a fan of OMG. If it was VOOT, I might consider it.

Re: Nusakan's Dreamcast Twinstick Mod.
Nice mod. Couple of things I would change however. 1. Remove the DC board totally and keep it safe somewhere. It doesn't need to be in there. 2. I wouldn't keep the Madcatz PCB in an anti-static bag. Sometimes the inside of the bags are conductive, good for storage, not good with power running throu...

Re: Updated Hori Twin Stick design, regular orders offered
i doubt Hori could make $100 sticks, while being profitable (they're asking triple that, a pure profit of $200 on a $300 item is unbelievable) $150 would probably be stretching. I'd guess Hori could probably sell at $150-$200 and manage out a few bucks. didn't someone mention the cost of each stick...

Re: Updated Hori Twin Stick design, regular orders offered
It's still abit bland though, for the pricetag anyway. If they dropped like, $150 off, then yes yes, and hell yes ^^ I agree, but then again Hori have always made functional but bland looking sticks  Thank God they decided to go with the proper grips, a bit of artwork too would've been nice. I...

The theme and gamer pics are there, but not the actual game, at least that's what it's like in the AUS marketplace.

VO:OT gone from XBLA Marketplace!
What gives? Had a look today and the game is gone! Hope it's just a temporary thing for those that don't have it yet. But if it's gone (for whatever reason) it won't be good for Hori or anyone else for that matter, after announcing the twin sticks and all.

Re: Looks like making a custom twin stick is the way to go.
Hmmmmm.... If I'm to do an in internal modding, how can I modify the slot for the head set? What I'm thinking is removing the PCB on the top side of the case (the one that connects the stick to the Saturn - looking at the guide, the modder cut the wires connecting to it, rendering it useless as an ...

Re: Looks like making a custom twin stick is the way to go.
Realistically it is not comfortable to use a controller with a huge monitor cable extending from it, so I think the main purpose of the "external" mod is to be able to use the modified control pad with multiple controllers. For example, you can use the same modded Xbox 360 controller with...

Re: Looks like making a custom twin stick is the way to go.
You don't really need the cable that guy used in the guide unless you'd like to use the 360 controller as a controller. If you don't mind sacrificing it, simply install it internally which will make the whole process a lot easier, plus it will look neater. Also, just a heads up, I wouldn't use the o...

Re: Official Twin Sticks displayed on Hori site
I can understand peoples desire to have the correct grip. As much as I love Sanwa gear, them sticks don't look very comfortable, especially after a long play session. For the premium price you're paying, you'd expect the real deal! It might be possible to use the VO grips on the Sanwa sticks, either...

Re: So I just bought a set of arcade twinsticks....
That set of sticks looks pretty old, I hope everything works for you ok when you get it. The most common thing going wrong is the micro switches and they're easy to replace. The only thing you'd possibly need a resistor for would be if you remove the L & R trigger pots on a 360 pad. The resistor...

Another way is to wait for some smart Japanese consumer to purchase a few and stick them up on eBay.
I'm pretty sure you'll end up paying more than $400 though.

Re: Official Twin Sticks displayed on Hori site
A lot of Japanese companies only accept pre-orders from Japan. (ie. They don't ship overseas) Sega used to do it from their online store as well. I shudder to think what the freight costs would be to ship that thing, depending how heavy it is, but I don't think you'd get much change from $50 if they...
