Re: spring stopper GET!
Got my shipment of spring stoppers ( As that is what they are called in the VO manual, I'm rolling with that translation from here on out .) from Seimitsu today. Lots of good news but right about 3mm or so of bad news as well. The good news? The dimentions for the part ar nearly identical. The circu...

reply from my contact via seimitsu
Hi Jumbo, I received the answer from the company. They can sell #9 parts at 70Yen each. There you have it. I've placed an order for 4 of these spring catches. (That would be enough to refit my two sets of DC sticks) The only downside is I won't be receiving them until the beginning of June. I will ...

Re: Dreamcast Twin Stick Repair
It's still worth checking to see if they can sell the individual parts, or if some dealer can. I've fired off an e-mail, hopefully I'll know about purchasing the individual part soon. I also asked about purchasing this one part in bulk. If it ~is~ the part that will work after proper testing,...

Re: Dreamcast Twin Stick Repair
If anyone has an actual VOOT (or Force) arcade cabinet manual (and not OMG), let me know. I'd really like some of the model numbers, since the VOOT arcade sticks have no model numbers anywhere. You mean one of these? http://home.centurytel.net/unbeknownst2u/images/manual.jpg Yeah, it's English. 1st...

Re: Dreamcast Twin Stick Repair
I think the the sticks in the DC Twin Sticks are based on the Seimitsu LS-56-01 joystick. I plan to buy a pair of these in the near future to see if the parts are interchangeable, unless someone can confirm that it won't work. I think it is not recommended to use a modified bobbin by itself, since ...

Dreamcast Twin Stick Repair
I figure this is the best place to be posting it. By now, I'm sure everyone has either experienced first hand, or heard about how fragile the DC twinsticks were. The problem seemed to lie in a little plastic washer with a hollow tube attached that sat underneath the hub of the stick. When this broke...

Re: Share your VO experience or history
Jumbo, are you Mark the Dordray player? I think we met a few times, e.g. when you and Tirah visited Socal (I think we played some cable versus at my house), and when I visited Washington for the Sakuracon tournament (and maybe also an Illusionz tournament, but I'm not sure). No, that would be my bu...

Re: Share your VO experience or history
In 1998, there was a Seattle Gameworks tourney that had players from California (Hiro?), Vancouver, BC. Portland (me) and of course the Seattle area. I ended up placing 2nd in this tourney using Apharmd and lost to Nobu who also used Apharmd(?) . Players who also attended includes Friction and Tira...

Moongate forward
Finally have a little more free time to post this. My VO experience started from Moongate. I was an employee at the Seattle Washington GameWorks and after hitting too many glass ceilings with Street Fighter 3, was thinking it was time to put vs. games like this behind me. That is when another one of...

JPN VO site survey - English ver./Guide?
Hello everyone, I apologize for not formally introducing myself in the proper forum first but there's something kind of time sensitive that I'd like to mention. On top of that, I would not only appreciate each members opinion on this but could also use some help/feedback with it too. Having read the...
