Re: THE SUPA DUPA CONVENTION THREAD
I started Sakuracon a bit late. I didn't get into it until 2005 in when a co-worker suggested I go with him. I never knew people did these things. Now it's done at the Seattle Convention Center. This year's roster was around 19k people attending. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sakura-Con Getting more ...
Re: GamerTags
I'm still alive.... sorta. Not on any consoles as much as i really like to but I wouldn't mind letting you guys pulverize a so-so player like me >_>; if you see me on.

Re: THE SUPA DUPA CONVENTION THREAD
I go to Sakuracon every year in Seattle but that's about it. I'm not hardcore enough to go to a convention in every other state lol. It's has evolved a lot since I've started going. Also really fun to go to if you can grab a bunch of friends to go with ya.

Re: So, about my absence...
Lol you're not the only one. I've been gone for a while myself but due to work. Got to turn on the 360 in like a few months only to find out that someone here was trying to keep an updated roster of VOOT players so I got on to see how the forums are doing :3

1942 Joint Strike: Mediocre R-Type Dimensions: R-Type and R-Type II with a shiny coat of paint. Check it out if you like your shmups slow, claustrophobic, and memorization-heavy. I'm a big R-Type fan and I refuse to acknowledge this one's existance. The firing rate of your normal weapon is terrible...

Re: Roll call - who is still playing VOOT!?
I run GOW2 on Thursdays nights as a weekly thing with me and my friends. Maybe something like that should start for VOOT. Wonder if it's also possible to catagorize your friend's list. That would be a nice feature.

Re: Wartech and Virtual-On comparison?
I've had this game for a while and couldn't get into it. This game is similar to two other games that I can't name for some reason, i have both but i'd have to go find them, I would rather play those than Sonde no Ronde. There was something about Senko no ronde I didn't like. As for curtain fire... ...

Re: Looking to pick up MARZ and OMG. Anything I should know?
Don't forget the fantastic voice acting in MARz. I mean it!!! >_>;
I tried to play it again last month, got kinda far starting from the begining but it was getting more and more annoying.

Re: Nusakan's Dreamcast Twinstick Mod.
hmm... didn't think about the bags acting as a cap before. Looks like I'll have to revise this. i still have the casing to the controller i could probably sand down the excess plastic and mount the controller to it. I'll have to look at it when i get home.

Re: Nusakan's Dreamcast Twinstick Mod.
Thanks ^^ 1. Remove the DC board totally and keep it safe somewhere. It doesn't need to be in there. 2. I wouldn't keep the Madcatz PCB in an anti-static bag. Sometimes the inside of the bags are conductive, good for storage, not good with power running through them. I did take it out but then I tho...

Re: Nusakan's Dreamcast Twinstick Mod.
Reserved for the actual guide. Gonna try (when i get a chance) to write a full guide from the ground up for people who are less familiar dealing with electronics. The stuff that was used. and how much I spent. Don't go off buying the most expensive stuff. - DC twinsticks... This one I have on hand i...

Nusakan's Dreamcast Twinstick Mod.
Here's my DC twin stick mod using a Madcatz 4716 Controller. unfortunately there are a few revision of this controller so you will need to figure out how the buttons are mapped out. This controller is definatly different that what is found in the shoryuken forums (padhacking madcatz 4716 08/09 contr...

Re: Need Some Advice
Oh the Xen man. Let me ask you this then. What's your opinion about xen? Me personally, I'm not impressed at all. Though if i had a choice, I'd rather deploy something thru SLES 11 rather than Red Hat (5.2 or 5.3). In my experience, I've always liked VMware and Microsoft's Hyper-V (windows 2008's so...

Re: Need Some Advice
LOL I'm glad I don't stay in a cube TBH. One of these days I'll have to post a pic of my cube. It's anime themed and there's quite a bit of Gundam models as well a few VOOM figures. Unfortunatly I'm way too busy here at work after several people got axed due to the economy, we're expected to do almo...

Re: Control Schemes?
Because I'm having trigger issues with my pad hack, I'll be using a custom schemes where you can manually specify what each button does. My setup will be. IIRC it's a Twinstick setup B(?) The D-pad will be the movements for the left stick A,B,X,Y will be movements for the right stick LB & RB wil...

Lol the jinx was already made before you actually. I've never had problems with them before but this was years ago when DDR was the "thing" and I got my twinsticks brand new from them too. But ya I made the order on the 29th of June, got an invoice a week later (the next day i sent them an...

Re: My Dreamcast Twinsticks Mod
Nice man, I was gonna go with the VGA route til I saw how thin the cables were. The VGA cable I had was an old skool one when they actually wired all 15 wires. That unfortunatly was asking to be broken at some point in the future. I thought about MIDI cables but decided not to. Right now I'm just wa...
