I have an original CD of the PC version, but it wont run on non-Intel PCs. Can those patches fix the original game?
Yes, you can use the 360 twinsticks. Even if the game has no support for it, use a program called XPadder to get around that.

If you check his feedback you can see he also sold some HRAP shells, and I've seen them sell on various for sale threads, so you wouldn't necessarily have to gut your own HRAP. I tried connecting the multimeter to the green/ground pin, then connecting the other input to each other pin while trying...

I have slightly more information, those quick disconnects are called wiring/button looms/harnesses
