Re: Looks like making a custom twin stick is the way to go.
I watched a few tutorials on about soldering on Youtube. What I do is cover the tip of the wire with solder. Then I put a bit of solder on the soldering iron. I heat up the soldering pad or surface I want to stick the wire on, then solder them together. Whenever I stick the tip of the soldering iron...

Re: Looks like making a custom twin stick is the way to go.
Progress: I started the soldering process this afternoon (FINALLY). Looks like I need to buy gloves and goggles before I continue. Soldering makes my hand sweat and shake from the heat! XD Plus I realized the soldering iron makes the solder wire boil and make small splashes that go all over the plac...

Re: Looks like making a custom twin stick is the way to go.
Hmmmm.... and I notice there's no info on the analog sticks as well. They are rarely used for controller mods, because modding them is difficult and usually unnecessary for games warranting a controller mod. It is not necessary to mod them for VOOT. So you're saying that the left stick would be con...

Re: Looks like making a custom twin stick is the way to go.
Okay! I just got the Madcatz controller today and opened it up immediately. From the looks of the PCB, it seems I got the new model (despite being white and labeled MadCatz as opposed to GameStop in the picture below). http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e327/haven9270/360_diagram3.jpg Took me a while...

Re: Post your questions here
I just got owned by a couple of people yesterday, to the point that I'm reminded of my pathetic Virtua Fighter 5 online track record T_T First, I fought this guy with a Bal-Bados. I was playing as Raiden. He keeps filling the arena with all sorts of crap from those spiky thingies, that ufo catcher t...

Re: Post your questions here
I have a question: I heard there's an update about lobby chat and optional graphics enhancement. However, I couldn't find those options for some reason (I thought the lighting option is in the option menu). Also, I couldn't figure out how to make the Xbox Live Party lobby work - am I supposed to see...

Re: Looks like making a custom twin stick is the way to go.
Hmmmmm.... If I'm to do an in internal modding, how can I modify the slot for the head set? What I'm thinking is removing the PCB on the top side of the case (the one that connects the stick to the Saturn - looking at the guide, the modder cut the wires connecting to it, rendering it useless as an a...

Re: Looks like making a custom twin stick is the way to go.
Another question:
Do I really need a multimeter?
I saw a bunch of em in Home Depot and they cost about $50-$60.

Re: Looks like making a custom twin stick is the way to go.
Wow that's a lot of info! Thanks! I just got back from Home Depot (it's darn close) and got myself some electrical tape, soldering iron, and soldering wire. It appears they don't have those VGA monitor cable as I expected. I searched around in ebay and those VGA cables are dirt cheap, like the owner...

Re: Looks like making a custom twin stick is the way to go.
Interesting, After reading more in the forums, I found out that this specific modding is pretty common (probably because it's easier and/or cheaper?). I already got a drill and an xbox system/controller disassembling tool kit. So, based on the guide, it seems all I need now are: - soldering iron (Ho...

Re: Looks like making a custom twin stick is the way to go.
Not sure.
The ones listed now (on eBay anyway) go for about $100-$200.

Where'd you find $80 twinsticks, and is there more than one set?
What did you mean by more than one set?

Looks like making a custom twin stick is the way to go.
Hi guys, it's the new guy. I saw this guide: http://healthya.web.fc2.com/xbox360ts/01.html and it looks like something I could do. Please correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like all I need is to solder the wires to connect a wired Xbox 360 controller and Saturn VO Twin Stick. I found an $80 Saturn...
