Re: 3/26 (3/27 in Japan) International Tower Challenge
Would 9 PM Pacific time be too late? Because that is when I would probably be getting back home. Is there any chance of this lasting 5 hours? And I would be leaving around 2 PM.

Re: 3/26 (3/27 in Japan) International Tower Challenge
I hate to say this, but I won't be able to attend. Sorry! I'm curious to know how it goes though. Hopefully there is enough interest on the other side of the pond to justify making this a more regular thing.

Re: Team Battle or Tower Challenge
I will make sure to actually practice for the tower battle, as apparently going in without practice is a bad idea. I also was not as focused as I should have been (had quite a lot going on that day). Next time I will try to provide a better challenge. With that said, I plan to be online for the next...

Re: EVO 2016
I am interested in going to EVO. However, as it is on the opposite side of the country from where I live, I would want a strong enough turnout from others to justify the expense. I would still go to possibly participate in other tournaments and spectate, but a VOOT presence with enough other people ...

Re: Anybody going to MAGFest this year?
It was another great time this year. Lots of fun was had at the VOOM arcade machine, and it was the first time I've played it since, gosh, maybe middle school? I didn't see VOOT (either Dreamcast or X360) this year though, and that was unfortunate. However, I must know who the unstoppable Raiden pla...

I'll go ahead and state the obvious, and this should help keep things simple.
I enter as Temjin. Only Temjin.

Re: Team Battle or Tower Challenge
I do like the idea of having something more interesting than random battles. But my first thought was, if any of us want to get better, would it make more sense for us to play in a Japanese battle tower instead of having Japanese players play in ours? Of course, that assumes that they still do them,...

Re: 1st Annual Oratan.com Winter Classic
I think Schooly will win as I still don't have a good answer to his Cypher, during the games we played before our party formed. That was my first day back to VOOT after 6+ months (maybe a year?), so that may have been the rust falling off, but he was in top form, while I was not, and am not likely t...

Re: Anybody going to MAGFest this year?
You can go to magfest.org to get more information. It stands for Music and Gaming Festival and it takes place in National Harbor, MD, which is just outside of Washington, DC, once a year (usually in January, but this year in February). I have the privilege of being 20 miles away from it so I have be...

Re: Anybody going to MAGFest this year?
Hey Dave, I will be going for sure! You might have just missed it, but we had some great VOOT (DC version) games last year on Saturday night! Vash, Koopaman, and a few random strangers showed up for the action. We played late into the night, great stuff! Be there!

Re: Vector Strike 2! 9/27 - Gundam EXVSFB & Virtual-On (SoCa
The games were a lot of fun, and it was great to play against Menthol and Schooly in person! The games against Menthol were extremely close. Too bad for the ridiculous flight delays and low turnout. Next time, let's make it even better! We discussed having a side VOOT tournament at the SoCal Regiona...

I will also attend this! I was unable to attend the first one. Since I am coming all the way from Washington, D.C., it would be great if anyone who is in driving distance could also attend so I can meet you in person. Also, I am a married man now, so my playing time has been limited and will continu...

Yes, that was a great match. Zaarock had a good air CC in there, and also the laser at the end was pretty cool!

Re: Big Time Tournament
Just a thought: Maybe we can just do cash. That way the winner can decide whether or not to actually purchase the sticks with said cash. We can leave the burden of finding them to the winner, just so we can get this thing off the ground. And I'd be interested in contributing to the prize pool if thi...

Re: Updated VOOT GT Thread
Assuming nothing comes up, I should be good for Friday. I just need a time so I know when to show up. If there's no specific time, I'll shoot for 8 pm EST. Regarding the list of active players, I guess you can mark me as "Active." I kinda came back from a 2-month hiatus in which video game...

Re: Big Time Tournament
I'd also be willing to help pay some of the cost of the sticks. I'd be interested in playing, although I don't actually want to win the sticks. I'm pad for life, you see. So I guess you just wouldn't put my name into the hat. Although I might have a change of heart when the thought of actually winni...

I would be willing to commentate, haha. I'll even pull a fake news coverage thing for the web if you want, though I bet you were just joking. Actually, I was being serious...if you're going to make this a big deal and get people to watch, you would need someone to explain what is going on. Otherwis...

Re: VOOT Money Match in Chicago? Phantom, Menthol, aniking R
I was just watching the MvC2 matches, and can someone say "overexcitement"? Good Lord. Although that is a lot of money on the line. Now I'm just guessing here, but you probably won't have anywhere near that energy level for a VOOT match! Can you imagine what the commentators would sa...

Re: VOOT Money Match in Chicago? Phantom, Menthol, aniking R
That would just be a dream come true for me. Obviously, a number of things would have to happen in order for this to be possible: 1. We would all have to be available during the specified time period in terms of work, life, etc. 2. We would all have to be willing to fly (or drive?) down to Chicago.....

Re: Guess the VR
Aniking and I are both of the opinion that Raiden is, well, overpowered. Wiser words hath never been spoken. When in the right hands, Raiden is the hardest to beat. Here's why: 1. You dash to the side or jump -> You get laser-caged, and raped to death. 2. You dash forward or backward, or don't dash...
