Extracting Models from OMG
Been a while since I posted. I've got a project going for Trackmania 2. Since the Virtual-On cast got snubbed for that Sega All-Stars Racing game twice in a row now, I've decided I'll make my own Virtual-On race car. With blackjack. And hookers. http://imageshack.us/a/img404/7516/e2jf.jpg That's the...

Re: Tier list thoughts?
Everybody seems to be using Specineff forward-diagonal dash crouch CW nowdays. I don't know who doesn't, anymore. But it's usefulness doesn't surprise me. His forward dash crouch CW would probably have been better except it doesn't exist, it turned into the sliding board move. I just think of it th...

Re: Playing the PC port of Virtual-On: Operation Moongate
The Model 2 emulator is easier to set up, and the graphical fidelity is far superior. The MSBS 3.3w runs natively in 800x600 resolution (don't quote me on that, could be 640x480), while the Model 2 Emu can be cranked up to full HD and higher, with the capability to display in Widescreen (which V-On ...

Playing the PC port of Virtual-On: Operation Moongate
You kids with your X-Stations and your Wiibox 1080s. Back in MY day we used to play games on the computer! We didn't have no fancy-shmancy twinsticks (unless we were Japanese) or matchmaking! Right, enough of that, here's how to play the PC port of OMG, as well as several tricks to get it to work pr...

Re: OMG's Achievement list is out
Force had relatively easy achievements but the in-game trophies take some time. I'm only at 50 hours myself since I do not save and count the hours that I play online. I like easy achievements. At the very least they are better than glitched achievements that are impossible to get. When does VOOM c...

Re: OMG's Achievement list is out
Yeah, force had super easy ones too. Not that achievement points make any sense compared to difficulty anyway. notice how they changed XBLA games gamerscore to 400, does that mean recent releases are harder than older ones? no, it's just to make their value increase in the eyes of people who like b...

Re: OMG's Achievement list is out
It's not like OT had particularly challenging achievements. I think the only one that required some actual effort was getting Ajim to show up.

Strange Ending Music
I was playing through arcade mode to train up a Fei-Yen VH partner, and when I cleared Ajim and Guerlain, the credits sequence was playing "Sgt. Hatter is Unrecoverable" instead of the usual VO remix of "Jupiter". Jupiter still plays if I clear the game with any other VR. I know ...

Oh man, I completely forgot about you guys. I updated my gamertag long ago and forgot to post about it (or post here at all, really).

Re: Kaiyodo Xebec Toys Virtual On series figures?
Unfortunately, these figures are pretty shoddily-made. They use this very brittle, clear plastic for their joints, stands, and weaponry. The series is going on 10 years old, so many like Cypher and Fei-Yen have disintegrated in their boxes. I have both Hypermode Fei-Yens, and my DNA one ended up bei...

Re: Share your VO experience or history
I'm new here, I figure I'll make this my first post. I got a copy of the PC version of Operation Moongate back in 1996, I wanna say. It came with my first computer, and although the learning curve was massive and I couldn't get past Viper II, I kept playing and sort of fell in love with Fei-Yen. Any...
