Re: Tangerine Spur
Certainly. I know Tangerine Spur was in Shibuya, didn't realize yours were from Shinjuku though, that's pretty ballin'. I did some searching on the Japanese web and found a page I hadn't stumbled across before that confirmed Tangerine Spur was built into the Sportsland in Shibuya, which means it's t...

Tangerine Spur
Alright, this has been bugging me for a while. We all know of the tiny little low res pictures of the all-VO arcade Tangerine Spur... there's the one that has the stairs going down to the basement with the logo over it, and the one of several force machines in a dimly lit tournament setting (both ar...

Re: Voot / VO4 Machines in Tokyo?
There are lots of smaller arcades on the fringes of the city that have older titles like the VO games. Do some asking around in the major arcades if you don't find any cabs there and I bet you'll get steered in the right direction. I just wish Tangerine Spur was still open.

I'm hoping for a full on new game with an arcade release. I know I'll just get crushed, but let me dream while I can, damn it!

Re: Cyber Troopers Virtual On coin operated arcade game - $1
That's waaaaay too much for a VOOM cab, honestly, even in really good condition. I way overpaid for mine, paid to have it delivered, and ordered a ton of NOS parts for it and tools to restore it and I'm not even up to that price on it yet.

Re: Recently picked up a VO OM 2-player Arcade Machine
Just wanted to point something out before it causes you trouble down the line... Even the OM cab had several region based variations. The european model is easily recognizable, with a single topper piece as opposed to the "hoods" design, but in your last pics post you've posted a picture o...

Re: Virtual-On OMG and Sticks for PS3 and 360
In VOOM FY is really only useful for the hit-and-run strategy, against most bad players one could get in a single hit as Fei and then just run around the screen dodging things for the rest of the time due to her speed. In competitive play, though, very few chose her for sure. I'm glad they're making...

Re: Who here has their own gig
MasterFygar, any update on the OMG restoration? In your KLOV thread there was some talk of converting it to VOOT. I have never heard of a conversion kit and I doubt one exists. There wasn't even a conversion kit for Ver.5.2/5.4 cabs to Ver.5.66 (that I know of). There was a kit to convert two Ver.5...

Re: Virtual On twin restoration!
Thanks Tighe! I looked up the deoxIT stuff, and it looks great, but with all this epoxy and the gum stains on a lot of these plastics I think I'll need to do a full new Krylon fusion repainting. On that note, there's been a lot of progress. The sanding is a nightmare (it's hard to sand steel-reinfor...

Virtual On twin restoration!
I'm mainly doing this over at KLOV (http://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=235936) but this is a VO forum and could use some more action so from now on, I'm doing simultaneous updates. What I'm doing is taking a full sized, beat up original VOOM cab and trying to restore it to its former g...

Re: Who here has their own gig
I know that wasn't directed at me but riki hasn't replied yet so I'll see if I can help any. I paid 750 (including shipping) for my VOOM cab (before the economy totally tanked and back when paying acting jobs were abundant in VA), but cabs can be found working for around 350 these days (they're big,...

Nice! That sign is swag, I'll need to pick one up. I have an OMG arcade setup too, I'm working on doing a full restore right now on KLOV:

If you have more details about what you need I'd be glad to help. I'm pretty much the expert on the first game and everything pertaining to it for what that's worth.
