The replays are on the leaderboards. The replay is uploaded by the loser. Get it while it is still up!

I feel a bit disappointed that so many replays are missing :(

Wartech and Virtual-On comparison?

I constantly see Wartech being said that it is like Virtual-On, usually in game reviews. Superficially, they both have 2 robot versus and shoot a lot of stuff.However, I do not see any resemblance in GAMEPLAY between Wartech and Virtual-On. If there really are resemblance in gameplay, can someone li...

Re: Tier list thoughts?

Ignoring the bottom of the barrel VR, Virtual On seems pretty balance to me. It should with so many prior versions before 5.66 :D Excluding bottom barrels, and a few of Bal's & Angelan's, there isn't too many 3-7 slaughterfest. Coming from Street Fighter (Capcom) background, VOOT is amazingly ba...

Forward dashing attacks are incredibly powerful. Perhaps they want the players to commit more to the dash than dash forward then back to force the opponent to move from the initial forward dash.

Re: Control Schemes?

I'm using TwinStick A setup, with some edits:

A = crouch
B = crouch + RT
X = crouch + LT
Y = special

I like the TwinStick setup because it feels like using a twinstick, a bit cheap one.

Re: MIA

That sucks. I was worrying about that too when I was got my 360 last Christmas. Fortunately I did some research on it before I bought it. I got a Falcon model chipset which is stable. Be wary of Elite models since they do not sell as fast thus have older chipset.

Happy 4th of July!

That's some crazy stuff. Handling an online tournament with 120 players in 2 and 1/2 hours.

Re: Title update, Hori Twin Stick Update and XBLA tourney

I want to do a FAQ for the XBL voot patch changes. 1. The person being challenge is the host. So if someone is unable to play another, challenge the person that both can play against. You can observe matches with players you can't play against. 2. The Cypher's SLC is different with the new control m...

Re: IMPORTANT POLL: Round-robin or Bracket?

I voiced my opinion on this on IRC already :). I'm strongly for the round-robin system all the way through. It's the best indicator of skill, not to mention everyone gets to play more games. Getting the full bracket to work is a hassle whereas the round-robin system, you can play a wide range of opp...

Wow! So you are the Chris Tan that wrote those nice VOOT guides on gamefaqs? They are very helpful!

I'm pretty sure you'll end up paying more than $400 though.
Yeah, either pay $400 now or the $600+ when it shows up on ebay or yahoo auction.

Re: We made Kotaku!!

30% sounds about right. It's not like 100% of theJapanese VOOT fanbase bought VOOT sticks for the Saturn and Dreamcast.

The andriasang article seems bias to me. The base of the Hori VOOT sticks look like the same as the HRAP. It is very solid.

Re: Post your questions here

Against some really good player, when I get on knockdown I do a CC as they are standing in front of me then suddenly they hit me from behind with a q-step. When I try it in training mode or against other people, my q-step cc gets beat because it runs into their wakeup cc. The path of my q-step seems...

Re: Post your questions here

OK I have a question.. How do you quick step and attack at the same time? I've done it without ever realizing what I'd done and a lot of Tamjins and such do it. To do the q-step attack, press LW or RW at the same as you press left or right for the q-step. I've been trying that and I swear it's a pa...

Re: I feel like I've hit a wall in Virtual On

I don't know what it is, i feel like I lose every online match I play over something so stupid. Like I have complete control of a match till the last 10 seconds when my opponent hits me with his/her biggest attack and that takes my health .01 less then theirs and I lose via time out. It happens so ...
