Hmmm, those were the days. Most games are too damn easy now, what are they trying to do, make us soft or something!circuscommando wrote:dreamcazman: remember when games were brutally hard? that's why i collect genesis, snes, nes, dreamcast, n64 (and soon - atari 2600)

Re: APRIL 29th!!
For those that are lacking in 360 knowledge, let me elaborate a little into how this DRM works for downloaded content, including XBLA games and anything else that is paid for. When you download a game (like VOOT) it becomes tied to that machine and Gamertag you used at the time. It's to prevent you ...

Re: Welcome VO fans
Yeah, welcome Frosty to our little VO community we have here. How old are your ankle biters? My son's 6 months old in about a week - makes playing games a second priority... Actually third priority if you include the wife. The 80's & 90's was the best time to grow up in I reckon, best musi...
Re: why!?
I use Raiden and keep doing side turbo dash and firing a spray of bullets to avoid any incoming projectiles and to keep you facing Tangram. Once she opens up, use the twin lasers which does a crapload of damage.circuscommando wrote:any tips on getting past tangram.

Re: why!?
I've got some Tamiya Ball Diff Grease here that I used to use on my RC car. It's a thickish viscous type of silicon grease from what I can work out, would that suffice?
Same stuff as in this photo.

Re: Saturn or DC sticks?
Excellent, just what I figured. Thanks MM!MentholMoose wrote:Did I say tomorrow? I meant next week. So yeah, the very base of the stick extends 35mm from the bottom of the panel. So add some space to be safe, and 40mm should be good.

Re: Welcome VO fans
I'll get the measurements ASAP. I do know about the stick PCBs off hand, though. They aren't exactly like the ones in the DC Twin Sticks, in that the wiring is soldered directly to the stick PCBs, with connectors on the other side for connecting to the controller PCB (the wiring for the DC stick PC...

Welcome! I just realized that I didn't provide the measurements you asked for... whoops!! Did your Saturn sticks show up yet? I'll do it tonight, as long as evenpar123 doesn't create another thread to bait me into writing another mega-post. :) Haha, no that's cool. My sticks haven't arrived yet, th...

Re: Welcome VO fans
Geez I'm a slack arse, I've been here for nearly a month and never got around to introducing myself, for that I apologise. Anyway salutations everyone, I'm from Australia, and I've been playing VO since the Saturn and immediately I was hooked. In fact I won my copy through a local games magazine. I ...

Do you know if there is any functional difference between the different accounts? If I'm in the US and create a Japanese Live account, is there any downside? It just allows you to access marketplace content which you otherwise wouldn't be able to access. I forgot to mention before that if some of y...

That's what I was thinking.MentholMoose wrote:It would be better to discuss these things on the chat, but I guess it's OK as long as you're not directly linking to the download. Realistically, it's probably not a big deal anyway considering it came on demo disc and was not a full-blown game for sale.

In addition to the AI, if the damage levels were tweaked a little it would improve the gameplay. Some VR's weapons are just too damn strong for their own good.
You don't want to get hit by Raiden's twin lasers, that's for sure.

Re: Articles covering VOOT VER.5.66 for Xbox 360
The weird thing about the 360 d-pad, it can vary between pads. The one the came with my 360 (mid 2006) wasn't that great, but when I bough a second one (for multiplayer stuff), it was a decent amount better. I can use it okay after I got used to it. My point is strangely, not all 360 pads are creat...

Re: Articles covering VOOT VER.5.66 for Xbox 360
On another side note, did anyone know that OutTrigger on the DC supported the DC Twin-Sticks? I only found out the other day. I came across a few vague mentions of this on some site/s somewhere, but no concrete confirmation anywhere. I tried it, and it works, even with a picture of TW in the contro...
