Stick a flat screwdriver between the plate and the plastic, it will come off.

Re: Need some advice with sega saturn twinstick modding

Grats dude ^^ Thanks! :) Last night i encounter a problem with the sticks. The twinstick's 15pin D-Sub wire must be bent at a certain angle or else the R-weapon will not work :( I wired 15pin d-sub's brown-black wire to the R-Weapon. Could it be that the brown-black wire in the middle of the D-sub ...

Re: Need some advice with sega saturn twinstick modding

A thin nylon washer might be okay. I wouldn't go with metal since it might cause further wear if there is any contact with plastic. The problem with adding something there is that it might be too thick, causing the spring to be further compressed, and thus causing additional strain on the parts. I'...

Re: Need some advice with sega saturn twinstick modding

Just another quick question MM, have you had any of your sticks' bases go brittle? I was checking over the bases for my sticks this morning and found what looks like some very fine hair line creases or cracks in the thin plastic around where the shaft passes through (must be from the spring pressure...

Re: Need some advice with sega saturn twinstick modding

You think that's strong?? You should try the arcade sticks!! Anyway, for removing the e-ring on the arcade sticks, I first push the spring down enough to grip the e-ring with needle nose pliers. Then, with the panel on the floor and the stick horizontal to the floor, I use one hand to hold the actu...

Re: Need some advice with sega saturn twinstick modding

I got my Saturn sticks yesterday and I promptly dismantled them to give them a good clean and lube. The only thing is, that spring is hella strong and I'm having trouble getting the circlip back on the shaft. :? Any easy way without damaging anything? Other question is, anyone know where you can get...

Re: Show your cool or useless VOOT memorabilia

I went through my cupboards the other day and I found my Temjin which I bought ages ago and cost me a small fortune at the time (especially the postage).

I'm pretty certain Akihabarashop sell individual parts for Seimitsu sticks (I know they do for Sanwa) but I can't see at the moment as the shop is shut while they try and fill back orders (damn SF IV )

Re: Dreamcast Twin Stick Repair

Is it not possible to just get replacement sticks entirely? If you're going as far as buying complete joystick assemblies in the hopes that the DC flight sticks will fit, it seems like you may as well go a step further and get one that already has a 2-button flight stick included. I've tried lookin...

Re: Impressions!

I'm pretty sure my custom wiring harness is just completely messed up with bad crimps, so I'm going to completely redo them before using it again. Nothing beats solder for a good connection. I'm in the process of installing some new buttons in a friends arcade stick and I used a crimp spade bits on...

Small website change - if possible

Menthol, just wondering if you could make a small tweak to this website, or the forums in particular. When I click on a link, it opens it up in the same window and not a new tab/window - It would be good to keep the forums page without having to click back to it. I've checked my browser settings and...

Re: VOOT 5.66 on XBLA this April, 1200 points

Just to go back a little bit in the discussion. I discovered they went a weird way about implementing the free month of live subscription. When you create a gamertag it will ask you to sign up for a gold account. If you say no they will give you a free month. If you say yes you buy however much you...

Don't forget you get a one month free Gold when you sign up with a new Gamertag anyway, so it's not imperative that you buy a Live subscription now.

Re: APRIL 29th!!

On that topic, do you happen to know if most Xbox 360's at retail nowadays are the Jasper units? I just bought my second 360 a few months ago and I checked the unit out before I bought it to make sure it was a Jasper. If the store you buy it from is decent, they won't mind. The main thing to check ...
