Re: Difference between Hori Sticks and actual arcade sticks

I should also note that Gundam Battle Operating Simulator seems to use the same sticks as Force: There's a panel up for sale right now: http://page9.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/k188659350 Sega made this game in 2005 so it might make for a slightly better chance at sourcing the sticks from that g...

Re: Difference between Hori Sticks and actual arcade sticks

Nice!! What was the winning bid if you don't mind me asking? I'm afraid to ask about the shipping, but I guess about $180. the first panel I snagged for about $165 and the second for about $185 including fees and free shipping within Japan :o I don't know why but these seem to totally sneak under t...

Re: Difference between Hori Sticks and actual arcade sticks

I recently just won these two panels on YAJ. So once I get them in I'll know for certain what the Force Sticks look like on the inside :D

SOOO stoked to finally have the proper sticks to go with my Model 3 VOOT boards, now all I'm missing are the marquees.

Re: Difference between Hori Sticks and actual arcade sticks

I'm sure I've posted pics of my disassembled arcade sticks but I can't find them now. Anyway I think yours is the newest variation from a VO4 cab. Mine have different grips (different PCB, and a surface mount switch for the triggers), identical to the ones from DC and SS Twin Sticks. I was able to ...

Re: Difference between Hori Sticks and actual arcade sticks

I dug my stick out of storage and tore it down. I was able to get it completely disassembled except for the hinge parts on the shaft, it's unclear to me how they're supposed to be remove and I didn't want to apply too much force and risk breaking them. http://solid-orange.com/wp-content/uploads/2015...

Re: Transformers: Human Alliance Special

I saw an article on these earlier... it looks like an on-rails shooter which means that the machines probably spin around the same way every time... it's a 2-seater though so these are probably a lot bigger than the old R360 cabs. Speaking of the VOOT version, does anyone have any information on the...

Re: Any 3D models of Virtoids available?

That's a shame... I'd love to get original models from OMG or VOOT in their original low-poly glory.

Any 3D models of Virtoids available?

I recently got a 3D printer... it got me thinking maybe there are some 3D models of the various virtuoids available so I could print some models of my own. I'd need the files in an STL format, or I'd need to be able to convert them to that format. Detail quality on the 3D printer is still pretty low...

Re: Difference between Hori Sticks and actual arcade sticks

Thanks for that! I own an original Arcade VOOT stick (just 1 sadly)... it's completely different than the hori stick you posted up... the only thing that looks the same is the grip but it's unclear if the bolt locations/ shaft diameter is the same. I'll see if I can find the box I stuffed the stick ...

the BC works by downloading a version of the game recompiled for the Xbox One... apparently anything you owned digitally will automatically be added to your library, and games that had retail discs will required the original disc for authentication (just like Xbox One games). you can vote on which g...

4-Player VOOT and Live (Spectator) Monitor info?

A short while ago I managed to score a Japanese service manual for VOOT (Model 3 version). I was looking through it last night to see if had any information on the live monitor mode (which I think it does as it allows you to set nodes on the network as "master", "slave" or "...

Re: Bran new, never Played VOOT Twin Unit

I've already passed the contact info along to another arcade collector who is trying to obtain a complete set of Sega Model 3 games in their original cabinets. He already has quite an impressive and well kept collection. As I stated in the first post the member here named caffeine is the one who tol...

Re: Bran new, never Played VOOT Twin Unit

yes, it is a genuine VOOT cab, not a VOOM upgrade i have some pictures of the DNA side on my phone.

like I said, I have no idea if it's 5.2 or 5.4. It's definitely NOT 5.66 due to the cab design.

Bran new, never Played VOOT Twin Unit

Anyone Interested in buying a Brand new VOOT Twin unit? Caffeine sent me a tip on a importer in LA who had a VOOT twin for sale. I called the guy and apparently he bought a bunch of games on close out new, directly from Sega. This VOOT twin has been sitting in his warehouse, untouched for 10 years n...

Re: Does a template or scans of the official panels exist?

Hey there- I don't think i've posted here before...I'm looking to make a pair of sega cab compatible panels for use with 3.3 and 5.66- are there any scans or accurate diagrams of the official panels around that would help in getting these cut and a custom overlay created. I'm planning to use the st...

Re: Buying items from Japan

I've used Rinkya, Shopping Mall Japan, and Buyee. One thing everyone should know is most of these places require you use a security deposit of sometime so if you decide to not pay for something they're sill covered. Also, most of these places also allow you to keep an item in Storage in Japan for an...
