I'm registered and got my plane tickets, so I'll be there. My twin sticks just barely fit in my suitcase; not sure how safe they'd be in there, though. Too big for carry-on.

Okay, I got that time off work, so that's taken care of. Anybody else interested in going? Even if there's no VOOT to be played, I might go anyway. It looks like there's plenty to do and I want to go to one of these at least once just to see what it's like.

I might be interested this year. I should have went in 2011 but didn't, and this year I wanted to go but work got in the way. I'm pretty terrible at VOOT these days, but it could be fun regardless. I wonder if Phantom would still be interested in going. Big ass Hori twins sticks might be a challenge...

I would suggest playing characters that you do play and work on improving them instead of playing characters that happen to do better in certain matchups. I wasn't aiming for a favorable matchup; I was just cycling through all the VRs I'm familiar with. It just so happens that they're all good agai...

At least I've won more rounds each time. I'm like 3 more challenges away from a win!*

Also, I seem to have better success with my secondary VRs than Specineff in follow-up matches. Hmm....

Yeah I thought it might be due to something like that. Is it possible to execute crouching attacks if the sticks aren't lined up perfectly (e.g., the right stick is pushed left and the left stick is pushed diagonally right/down)? It seems like you can and that it might have something to do with it; ...

I've noticed that the speed boost you get from Specineff's walking cLW doesn't last nearly as long with twin sticks vs. doing it on a pad (at least when I do it). Does anybody have any theories why? Does it have anything to do with rowing? I'm not sure what twin stick movement the pad is simulating ...
