Re: Good Games/ Bad Games Thread

Eh, I don't think so. I was like 1-10 against you, which is pretty much in line with my historical record. Nah, even if it didn't translate into wins per se, I noticed you were playing with a more patient style, which was noticeably harder to beat, especially against an all-out offensive player lik...

Re: US-International Tournament 4

So Team America and Team USA (our two teams for the tournament, consisting of myself, Specy87, Schooly D, and AnikingVOOT) were single-handedly defeated by Zton D Horn (Bal-Bados user). Aniking and Schooly managed to win one round before the Zton carnage. I uploaded my replay from the event. It look...

Re: Good Games/ Bad Games Thread

Those were some good games this morning. It must be the most fun I've had with this game since buying it. GG's to: Graham Aker The Cosmos Owl SolarSonic Shamanic Beat DaveRudolph (much improved since last time!) A double GG's and special thanks for playing in our tournament for: AnikingVOOT Schooly ...

Re: Matchup Discussions

What I see a lot from Temjin is starting the round off with an quick cLTRW, since it's hard to avoid and will strip some V.Armor. Yep, that's the way to go. Within 300m, that move is pretty much a guaranteed hit against Dordray because he's so big and slow. I wouldn't fire any regular attacks at hi...

Re: US-International Tournament 4

Sounds like fun, I would like to play. And be embarrassed royally.

I assume this is going to be similar to our USIT3 in which two people from different teams play, and then the other two play, and if there is a tie the first two play again? And 8 AM EST as usual?

I'm in.

I can think of no better way to bring in the new year (and celebrate my birthday) than with another second-place (or worse) finish in the USIT4 tournament! If I win, it will just be icing on the cake.

Re: US-International Tournament 3

I did not know that. Thanks for the info! Believe it or not, I actually have the worst luck with that move. I may hit once every ten tries, if that. I only used it out of desperation, because I realized I was sunk. I wouldn't say I'm lucky to main Temjin. It's a lack of skill on my part. See, I do s...

Re: US-International Tournament 3

I watched the videos and I was wondering... Schooly, did you actually duck under my first Surfing Ram in the third round of the last finals match? For the life of me, I cannot figure out how that missed! You got all kinds of lucky! But then again, so did I, since I wouldn't have even been in t...

Re: US-International Tournament 3

Sandsfel, you got everything right, except you missed me vs. DaveRudolph. Menthol had the bye in round 2. Sorry for spoiling all your hard work, but now you've got to fix it! ;)

Still, it's a lot better seeing the brackets in graphical form. Thanks for posting that.

Re: US-International Tournament 3

This is a cool new wrinkle. Forcing us to use two VRs gives us a chance to see some new moves and strategies we wouldn't normally see. Plus, we each get more playing time, with more matches being played and more fun to go around. So, I'm onboard. GT: PhantomPhotonX VR 1: Temjin VR 2: Fei-yen Bah, 2 ...

Re: US-International Tournament 2

Schooly, I give your montage a standing ovation. It was put together marvelously, the clips fit in so well with the music (great song choice, by the way), and you picked such good clips to show too! What an unexpected surprise! And it was so fun to watch! I wonder if you can possibly top it. I guess...

Re: Good Games/ Bad Games Thread

A big GG goes out to Schooly D, who schooled me again tonight. Thanks for the games and for staying up late. I saved almost all of the replays, so I'm going to study my mistakes so that my next beating isn't as bad. I will go into work exhausted tomorrow, but it was worth it!

Re: 1st Oratan.com VOOT Team Challenge!

Replay uploaded. It's quite painful for me to watch! Temjin didn't feel like stabbing the Raiden corpse that was right in front of him at the end.

GG's and thanks to all. I had a lot of fun. Hopefully I will run into some of you again at the next tourney.

Re: Good Games/ Bad Games Thread

We did have some good games. I'll admit, your Temjin was the better dancer. I tried to make mine dance, but he just kept stabbing you. I guess he had two left feet. ;) The fights were epic enough to cause "dead zones" basically xbox failed on us again. I'll bet the rest of you are curious ...

Have any of you guys played any matches against some guy named PhantomPhotonX? I run into him in Ranked sometimes and he totally destroys me. US Temjin player, plays really fast (mostly close to mid range), impeccable Big Two timing, good at CC. You're giving me WAY too much credit! You should see ...

Re: Share your VO experience or history

Looks like I finally made it to the VOOT party. Please allow me to introduce myself. I have been playing video games for as long as I can remember, but Virtual-On was truly special. The first time I saw it was at a nearby bowling alley during a friend's birthday party. I remember thinking to myself,...
