Re: Good Games/ Bad Games Thread
My official time is 12.5 hours. Eventually, all the Japanese players left, as they inevitably do, and so I had to finally put down the controller. But I haven't slept a wink yet.

Re: Good Games/ Bad Games Thread
And we did it again last night! This time we had me, Chunky Puff, Shamanic, neoKEN, Goliath, Tieria, Kygen, ShadeWolf, Kiritsumi, Aniking, Chasiumen, Zaarock, and Fredo. (Correct me if I missed anyone.) Shall I just go ahead and say it? This was the best VOOT weekend we've ever had! Full rooms for t...

Re: Otakon 2010, Baltimore, MD, July 30 - August 1
Well, it's finally over, which means I don't have to listen to Vash talk endlessly about it every time I play against him in VOOT! ;) I had a great time, and I'm pretty sure Vash did too. Here are the highlights: 1. I decided against playing in the Smash Bros. tournaments due to the fact that I may ...

Re: Good Games/ Bad Games Thread
Good games to Shamanic, Aniking, Vash, Goliath, and Razgriz. Also good games to Tieria and Shamanic for yesterday's games. The highlights of this weekend: 1. VOOT players will do anything for a cookie! If the thought of beating Aniking isn't enough, the promise of winning a cookie after doing so is ...

Re: Otakon 2010, Baltimore, MD, July 30 - August 1
The Otakon staff have updated their Website, and they have revealed the list of tournament games this year. As I expected, VOOT is not one of them, but as I didn't expect, Mario Kart also is not one of them. I was fully expecting to win something at Otakon this year, so it looks like in order to do ...

Re: Good Games/ Bad Games Thread
GG's to Vash, Shamanic, Tieria, and...my brother?! That's right, last night my brother played in his first VOOT matches since 2001. He used Dordray at first, which was always his favorite. It didn't take him long to relearn the game, as he was putting up a fight with everyone in less than an hour. H...

Re: Otakon 2010, Baltimore, MD, July 30 - August 1
I wish I could help with this, but at the very least you'll probably want to contact the staff: http://www.otakon.com/contacts.asp There is a form you can fill out, and someone from the staff should be able to contact you. They also have a phone number you can call, 610-577-6136. Since there's only ...

Re: Good Games/ Bad Games Thread
Thanks to Vash for introducing us to the many splendid characters of ComicCon, including the Rapist, Back-Door Rapist, Muscular? Power Ranger, and "Random guy getting shot at by Storm Trooper." (I'm sure everyone not in our party last night is thinking, WTF...) Thanks again to Shamanic Bea...

Re: ADOPT-A-NOOB TOURNAMENT NEEDS TEACHERS
I am making myself available as a teacher for the following VR's: Temjin, 10/80, Fei-Yen, and Specineff. I usually play from Friday-Sunday (afternoon hours preferred). As most of you know by now, my style focuses on speed and offense, so anyone who likes this style should find me to be a suitable te...

Re: Introducing, the "Peer to Pilot" Program!
Very good, Chhipz! It accentuates the positive aspects of the game without being too overwhelming. I can't really think of anything to add. Sega would make a fortune if they hired you to do their advertising.

Only when you're not one-hit-killing me. Otherwise, your Dordray is pretty enjoyable too.neo helbeast wrote:Does that me you hate fighting me?
It's Aniking's Dordray I don't like.

What I meant was, I could have typed ?????/????? as my sign-up post and you probably could have filled in the blanks. BTW, I don't believe it has been explicitly stated, but I assume we are using normal tournament parameters, i.e., 2 rounds, single-elimination?

Shoutout time! Good games last night/this morning to: Schooly D - You're well on your way to being "Aniking, Jr." and getting good with lots of VRs. Sorry your controller got mad at you last night, but good games. Shamanic Beat - Can we now call you "PhantomPhotonX II"? Great gam...

Re: Virtual On Force coming to XBLA?
The only thing that would make me excited about the game is if they VOOT-ified the combat system. As it is now, it's sluggish, the VR's move a lot slower, and several CC mechanics are missing. Also, I hear that Watari dashing is harder to do, which is no good. If they don't overhaul the core gamepla...

Re: Virtual On Force coming to XBLA?
Guess I'm kind of sad about this. From everything I've seen, FORCE doesn't play well at all. And I think it's very telling that still WAY more people prefer VOOT despite FORCE being, on paper, such an attractive option. I mean, who wouldn't want 2 v 2 Virtual-On? What I see happening is FORCE drawi...

Re: The official Virtual-On model kit thread
I did about an hour of searching online for this Chrome Temjin model and couldn't even find one mention of it. When was it released, and how expensive is it? Is there any chance at all that I might get my hands on one of these? Where might I find one? PhantomPhotonX wants the Precious!
