We could always reschedule... it'll probably be hard to get more people with only two days left.
(Plus I forgot I might have other plans that night But I'll still play if I'm needed.)

Re: Virtual On Force coming to XBLA?
Not necessarily, NTSC-J just means it's a Japanese region game. Some NTSC-J games are region locked, some aren't.MasterFygar wrote:NTSC-J means region free, right?

Re: Tournaments.
Dave, I'm going to take the "over" on your bet. ;) My pessimism loses again. Surely we'll get at least one more player. Although today is reinforcing the rule that anybody with 50%+ win percentage in ranked has a 90%+ chance of beating me, so my pessimism should still hold true in the tou...

Can we place bets on how many people will sign up? My money's on 3.
After some truly awful VOOTing by me today, I'm hesitant to do this, but sign me up. Using Specineff, I guess.

Re: Virtual On Force coming to XBLA?
One thing's for sure, it's bad news for people importing the game. :| It should be fine, a little Japanese text never scared anyone who imports games. :D If I even play Force, it will only be for multiplayer anyway, and I wouldn't expect to have a problem with Japanese menus (having to team up and ...

Re: Virtual On Force coming to XBLA?
Hmm...that the entire game is in Japanese probably isn't good news for an eventual international release... How does this usually go for international releases? Did the other Virtual On games have Japanese text in the Japanese versions? One thing's for sure, it's bad news for people importing the g...

Re: What are you playing?
Also speaking of racing games, Crazy Taxi is coming to XBLA at some point. I loved that game, although I ended up getting good enough that a single run would take over an hour... so much for being a quick pick-up-and-play game. I remember building up a callus on my index finger from all the limiter ...

Capcom vs. Virtual On.
Bonus points if Mega Man acquires the weapons of VRs he destroys. Also, Zangief piledriving Raiden FTW.

Re: Post your questions here
Any anti-chicken advice for Fei-Yen (playing as Fei-Yen, not against)? I played some ranked matches against Temjin and AphB where the other dude got a lead and just kept hiding and running away. The only thing I could come up with is throwing walking CWs over walls and continuously dashing forward o...

Re: Intergalactic Shmuppreciation Month!
Radiant Silvergun will come to XBLA next year. Updated graphics, extra crap, blah blah blah. The main attraction will be the price tag. I'm not sure what it is, but surely it'll cheaper than getting the Saturn version on eBay (typically $200 - $250 last I checked, but that was several years ago). Fo...

Re: Roll call - who is still playing VOOT!?
Alot of Japanese still playing? Yeah. But because of the time difference you won't catch them unless it's morning in the US (night time over there). I generally play on weekend mornings; there are a lot of people on then. Weekdays work too if that fits into your schedule. I got to play yesterday si...

Re: Tournaments.
Assuming we can even get enough people, somebody would have to step up and organize it. IIRC, all of our previous tournaments were organized by either Schooly or Neo Helbeast. I think we let Schooly down too many times for him to want to do it again (by "we" I mean the entire North America...

Re: What are you playing?
In fact, I'd prefer Cave to make there NEW shmups Region Free instead of releasing there old ones on XBLA. And I'd prefer DoDonPachi or ProGear instead of Guwange or Dangun Feveron. But maybe it'll happen soon. I think Capcom owns the rights to Progear, so it wouldn't be up to Cave to release that....

Re: What are you playing?
Wouldn't it be nice to come home from work and play some VOOT? I think so, but usually there's nobody playing at that time. So instead, I usually play Catan or Magic: The Gathering to wind down after work. Anybody on my friends list already knows this, though. Catan : When I downloaded Catan,...

Also, PPX's marathon run resulted in me getting my 2,000th ranked loss. I don't think anybody outside of Japan has achieved such epic failure. Why so negative? You have > a 1:1 win-loss ratio, don't you? The glass is half full! Because that's how I roll. 8-) And while Win/Loss ratio is somewhat use...
