Re: Virtual On Force coming to XBLA?

VOOM has some Japanese in the Japanese version. I assume the Japanese XBOX VOOT is the same as other countries' XBOX VOOT?

Re: Virtual On Force coming to XBLA?

Hmm...that the entire game is in Japanese probably isn't good news for an eventual international release...

Did the original Force have a Mission mode?

Re: Good Games/ Bad Games Thread

Are you ready for the aftermath of my VOOT marathon? I woke up this morning at around the time I would normally wake up to go to work, and I had one of the most intense migraine headaches I've ever had. It ravaged the whole left side of my head, all the way down to my eye, and the pain was actually...

Re: The official Virtual-On model kit thread

I don't know. The Raiden is the only one I have. The Oratorio Tangram kits likely are better as they were produced years later.

Re: The official Virtual-On model kit thread

I've added a couple more pictures. Jaguarandi cost me 15,500 yen on Y! Auctions Japan, and came up to around US$250 including middleman costs and shipping  - that's the first and last time I pay that much for a mass-production non-event-limited kit. Bleh. Some pics confirming the hugene...

Re: The official Virtual-On model kit thread

Last couple of months' resin kit haul: kithaulsep2010.jpg Jaguarandi's box sure is huge. He appears to be the player-version, not the secret boss, as according to the box the kit is only 18 cm tall, which is too small for the boss version... kotoresinjaguarandi1.jpg kotoresinjaguarandi2.jpg kotoresi...

Re: The official Virtual-On model kit thread

I applied putty to fix the various problems. After it had dried, I started to sand...and discovered the resin was softer than the putty (great...not), and that, despite taking care to wash the parts, the putty did not adhere to the parts properly (same putty works fine on other resin kits). Painting...

Re: The official Virtual-On model kit thread

I've updated my post on the previous page with some pictures, and here's my thoughts on Wave's 1/144 Raiden resin kit (with pictures): Wave 1/144 Raiden Resin kit (Operation Moon Gate): Normally, resin kits are supposed to be superior to styrene kits, especially if they include photo-etched or white...

Re: Yahoo! Japan Auctions thread

Yeah, that's a WonderFest limited item, of which I saw one for sale on Y!Auctions Japan for 40,000 yen, 75,000 yen buy-it-now (!). Beautiful, though.

The Kotobukiya Jaguarandi was 18,000 yen when it was in stores...

Or you could wait 1-2 weeks for me to get mine in :)

Frankly, I hope this is the only time I pay US$200+ for a non-limited mass-production item that's not in high demand...

Re: What are your favorite VRs of all time?

I'm gonna disagree with Schooly D and say Viper II. It sucks if you keep running and hiding all the time to keep the armor intact. On the other hand, taking on the enemy head-on with a very aggressive fighting style, some tactics, and fast reactions is awesome, especially when you realize the armor ...

Re: The Virtual-On Book thread

You'll have to look on Yahoo Auctions Japan for the 1/100 Kotobukiya resin kits. Jaguarandi shows up once a year or so...and tends to be very expensive.

Re: Jaguarandi Discussion

He's a lot more difficult in the arcade version on Very Hard mode (what I have mine set too). He's far less predictable and loves to do a charging 8-way o_o I've killed him within the time limit using Viper-II on the PC version on very hard mode. It's a question of avoiding his attacks and timing y...

Re: Jaguarandi Discussion

This is where we discuss the infamous Jaguarandi! As you all know, he first appeared in Operation Moongate as a penalty boss if your total time is over 3 minutes and as you all know, he is really tough to beat! I'm not sure whether the 3-minute limit is all that there is to getting him. This is bas...

Re: Virtual On Force coming to XBLA?

It isn't like it's really anything new. The different boob and ass sizes for Fei-Yen (I can't believe I just wrote that >_<) have been publicized before in one of the CG-artwork booklets that are included with some of Hasegawa's limited release models... The moment things really start to go wrong is...

Re: Some links to cool VO stuff: LEGO and PAPER VR's!!!

The papercraft VR's are not available for download because they are Wonderfest exclusives, I think. So yeah, you need to buy them.
