Prototype Raiden sucks.
Discuss. Or not. Took me a long time to realize that Raiden's full CW actually does twice as much damage as the half-cancel version. Is that true for all VRs or just Tangram because it's such a huge target and both lasers actually connect all the time? Who's bored enough to 1cc the game with every ...

Re: 1st Tournament - 2009 September
So it seems that the rest of the tournament took place this morning. I thought it was tomorrow, but the fact that Schooly and Aniking were up early for VOOT today and that Schooly specifically asked me for some practice rounds probably should've been a hint. Sucks for me; I was planning to wat...

Re: Post your questions here
Is there a specific thread for each droid's attacks and techniques? One for Temjin, one for Cypher, one for Specineff, etc, like the one that was done for Ajim (really helpful, thanks! :D )? Only with the amount of useful stuff crammed into one or two sections of the Forum it seems like that would ...

NeoHelbeast might have uploaded our match to the leaderboards. If he didn't, I can upload it.

Re: Good Games/ Bad Games Thread
It's odd running into "local" people who don't post here, but aren't like 0-38 and don't know how to dash. (Not that I'm knocking them - you gotta start somewhere, and at least they're trying) Heh, yeah. I ran into the guy you're talking about a few weeks (months?) ago. Not a half-bad pla...

Fei-Yen + Ajim Montage Video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=arA5a6a6QFA Since my 360 and PC are now in the same room, I decided to hook my system up to my capture card and do something with the few dozen replays I've been saving. Most of the matches aren't notable enough to stand on their own, so I just stitched a lot of them t...

Re: 1st Tournament - 2009 September
I'd hang around for some more games but I've been up for over 30 hours and really need to fix that.

Re: 1st Tournament - 2009 September
lol, I played awful. Worse than the last tourney match I had against Schooly, at any rate. I dunno what it is about that guy. The moment he goes up in the air my brain just goes to mush and I can't hit anything. Doesn't help that he's really freaking good, either. :P I uploaded my loss against Schoo...

^ Yeah, rules should be the same as the JP players.
Scheduling isn't a problem for me as long as it's announced at least a few days in advance. Whatever's fine with you guys.

If anybody wants to try and schedule a regular weekly game time, I could probably make room for it. Doesn't really matter what day.

Re: Roll call - who is still playing VOOT!?
Taking a break from VOOT to whittle down my backlog. The 360 isn't hooked up right now.
I still at least check the forum daily.
EDIT: I also like how Schooly is always online now. Check the who's online page from the index. He's posting FROM THE FUTURE.

Re: Looking to pick up MARZ and OMG. Anything I should know?
Certain VRs only have one or two color schemes as far as I know, and the J/V should've been unlocked on your first playthrough after beating the earth missions iirc, I know mine was. Second playthrough. You have to continue from a clear file and beat the Earth missions again. This one took me a lit...

Re: Looking to pick up MARZ and OMG. Anything I should know?
FINALLY beat Marz on Ultimate difficulty. I was making chapter 6 way harder than it needed to be. The various missions in Marz are assigned somewhat randomly, and they can be exploited in various ways by reloading your save file until you get a desirable result. For example, the first chapter is alw...

Re: Found a funny bug
PS2 OMG finally arrived in the mail yesterday, so I've been putting some time into it. It's a very complete package as far as I can tell, and the presentation is very nice. M2 almost always does a great job with their Sega ports. Some comments and questions: - There's a Barrier Field option, which k...

Re: Post your questions here
I basically do jumping half-canceled CW for the entire time that the eye is revealed, save for a few seconds of strafing RW while dodging the huge laser. When the eye is closed, it's HCjCW mixed in with some dashing RW in order to keep myself from being clobbered. I got him under 5% once, so I proba...
