I was thinking the same thing, too(though I'm not entirely sure about Ajim).

Also let's not forget about Cypher, since we saw him/her fighting Bal-Rloon in the animated portion of the release trailer. So it's pretty much a given that we'll see Cypher in this game, too.

New stage and VRs in action, this time with two humans playing against each other. They also show off 2v2 mode.

Hit clock has changed quite a bit:
It doesn't fill completely.
Hit clock violation is very different compared to TGS. It continuously docks points and stops when the points are tied (or, of course, when you score a hit). There are still flat reductions even with the clock resetting or getting time added, so I'm guessing that you need to actually down your opponent to avoid penalties completely.
Hits also don't completely reset the clock anymore, they instead add a bit to the timer with downs adding quite a bit more.

2v2 mode seems like they just got it functional. A lot of times the game seems to go into slo-mo. Has a lives system so it's not quite like Force.

Now we know each VR can probably have at least two color schemes, and also there's no more forced green vs purple visors. Both sides can have green/blue visors. I still think the Temjin visor is more blue than it was in any previous games, so there may be a blue visor and a green visor now. Force also had red visors on big Jaguarandi and AI shadow VRs.

The graphics slowing down tells me the graphics might be better than we thought. Hard to tell from videos sometimes.

I saw the video footage, and what the heck is a Dordray doing Phalanx of all things? Doesn't Dorkas and Vox Joe/Jane does Phalanx?

Dordray's CW replaced with Dorkas's CW.
May be for new move and balances.

I watched the video footage, as well. However, I noticed that Dordray was also using its own CW(the V-Hurricane), albeit very briefly, in addition to the Phalanx CW originally used by Dorkas and Vox Joe/Jane. So it's more like they were combined rather than replaced. I have a knack for noticing things like that. :)

yep, Phalanx CW with modification/improvement. Seems to be powerful from the video.

Looks like I was right after all. :) To be honest, I was expecting this because, in addition to seeing Cypher in the animated portion of the reveal trailer, I also saw a listing for RVR-42 Cypher "Blue Stalker" on this web page under the heading: "A Certain Magical Virtual-On."

Off-Topic: I got a new (animated) picture for my Signature! :) I know it's kinda small, but at least it's better than nothing.

This seems like a joke. Her art style doesn't look like other Railgun characters, and her clothes don't either, and why does she carry a big fork?

I guess she looks a little bit different then because she hasn't been drawn in the anime. Since we always knew Cypher was in the books, did we always know she was in it? Or did she take it over from whoever was in it before?

They added a background. I liked it better when it was just white back there.

The "Blue Stalker" Cypher is the antagonist of the novel, but the pilot is a male who is a one-off character that doesn't even have a name.
None of the magic side characters aside from Index and Tsuchimikado appear in the novel, with the latter only really appearing once.

This time we've got:

- Clear descriptions of some of the Boost Weapons(VW)
- Mission Mode "Destruction" (Hoard?) and "Kill Attack"
- Player Cards
- Cypher pilot Lessar is voiced by Yuki Takada

I am so f***ing sick and tired of seeing anime culture taking over more and more of the japanese gaming industry.

I'm not even happy that Virtual On happy the series a new game coming up. Force was already deep in anime crap (loli character, maids with adjustable bust sizes, samurai robot etc), then Hatsune Miku crossovers, but now this is way too much for me. Anime girls popping on screen and screaming while playing, I just can't bear that.

Instead of trying to make the series more seducing to western countries to gain sells, they just keep making it more and more Japanese exclusive. F**k that, I'm not buying it.

I like anime stuff but I'm not that fond of it in this game series, either. And I heavily dislike those character cut-ins in any type of fighting game.

But I look at it this way: it gave them a chance to gather the funds to make a new game. And regardless of how this game turns out with the new mechanics, now there is a chance a full VO game might be made within the next decade.
