Unfortunately, some random person posting the trailer on Youtube is hardly confirmation of a US release. Sega did post the trailer on Youtube, though:

But, Japanese people use Youtube, so again it is not confirmation of a US release.

Holy crap! That VR transformed into Jaguarandi from the first Virtual On game! I loved those all-killing lasers. But is it me, or does that look a lot slower than the action in VOOT?

EDIT: By the way, MentholMoose, very nice looking updated site!

You are correct, VO4 is much slower. Load up Marz on the PS2 to get a taste of VO4 minus the 4 player action.

Yup, the game is quite different. It does look OMG-ish, though I haven't really played either game enough to comment on the similarities. BTW, neoKEN congrats on the 100th post, you're Virtual-On Positive now!! :D

The CC is fast relative to the rest of the game, though still much slower than CC in VOOT.

Is the fact the trailer ends by saying "COMING THIS WINTER" in English promising? =D

Sadly, no; the Japanese have this thing for the English language, you see...

The likelihood is pretty good that it'll make it here, though, since SEGA brought every console Virtual On game to the west, aside from the SEGA Ages version of the original.

You should've also warned him about the snail-paced loadings screens

Sega brought out Virtual On (Saturn), but Activision brought out VOOT (DC) to America, but not to Europe or Austrailia.
Thought Sega did bring MARZ (PS2) over, but again, only to America and not Europe/Aus.

The Japanese use of English is kinda strange. I do get the impression the using English words is considered cool, though not 100% sure.
Often I see Japanese (on Japanese TV shows) use English words here and there, but the funny thing is, many time (when I'm watching) I'm thinking, I'm sure the Japanese must have their own word for that.

Oh, yeah, back when Activision wasn't the arch rival of video gaming everywhere. :p
