A Sega Model 3 Arcade Emulator

"Supermodel emulates Sega's Model 3 arcade platform, allowing you to play a number of ground-breaking 3D classics on your PC. Presently, Supermodel is in a very early "alpha" stage of development, so it lacks many of the bells and whistles of more mature emulators."

Virtual On Oratorio Tangram: Graphics: Texture problems, encrypted 2D graphics. Playable: Yes.

Anyone care to upload the roms somewhere? :)

Yeah, I found out about it on the day of its release. I was aware of the possibility of it being an April Fools joke, but I was glad when I saw that it wasn't. However, I was excited for a different reason other than VOOT being emulated with few problems. Why? Two words: Ocean Hunter. My 2nd favorite Arcade game next to House of the Dead. Yes, I know its still not fully playable right now, but it does give me something to look forward to.

List of graphical changes that I notice. Typically better looking on the Model 3 version.

Temjin
-bomb explosion has square effects on explosion instead of looking the same as Apharmd's

Apharmd B
-tornado much more detailed

Angelan
-Ice Pillar, more detailed. Various visibility in one with solid and clear pillars. Very cool looking

Cavern stage
-brighter. Top area looks more detailed

Storage Depot
-brighter

Post some screen shots. I haven't seen VER.5.4 in a long time. The main graphical difference I remember is the transparency on the ice pillars.

Hi, everyone! I just thought you guys would like to know that last Saturday, version 0.2a of the Supermodel Model 3 Arcade Emulator was officially released to the public. From what I've seen, VOOT's texture problems are not as severe as they were in the previous release(texture offsets have been applied), although the encrypted 2D graphics still remain encrypted.

Follow the link below to find out more.

Sorry for not letting you guys know sooner.

Funny, but I swear it runs faster with sound than with sound disabled. The emulator takes advantage of multicore processors (I have 2).

With Supermodel 0.2a, it adds supports for VOOT version 5.4.

Yeah my screen shots are from 5.4g. Any plans to upload a video? A play-through, perhaps?

No. My PC barely can run the game, much less record at the same time.
