Here is a Naomi VMU adapter for ¥3,500. Interestingly, it is different from the actual PCB from the VOOT Ver.5.66 cab. Maybe something custom, or did any other Naomi games use the VMU? The cable is apparently from a DC controller.

could be a cheap way to get a working FORCE PCB you'd just need to do a rom swap.

EDIT (by admin): It sold for ¥10,500. Here was the link:
バーチャロン フォース ターミナルボード ジャンク基板
I don't remember seeing one of these, either, although someone (different seller than the above) parted out of these cabs in 2011 (see page 5 of this thread for the cab which sold for ¥50,000, and page 6 for some of the parts). I actually put in a bid on the control panel... IIRC a healthy bid of ¥15,000 (especially considering the exchange rate at the time)... and lost. Pretty crazy since it was a very basic panel (one stick, two buttons, and a start button), although it had sweet VOOT graphics.

This sold for pretty cheap, but the auction has "junk" in the title. So who knows. I'm a little bit surprised about it being a Hikaru board, though. I don't see the point to use such a high-end board for a simple card dispenser.

F355 Challenge cabs had a VMU slot so save replays and time records. But as it was a SEGA cabinet I would assume the slot would look the same as on a VOOT cab.

Perhaps it comes from a Namco Cyberlead 2 cab. It has both PS1 and Dreamcast memory cards slots. Two of each.

VMU-arcade compatibilty was clearly underused back in the days, or maybe by some obscure japanese arcade games. Today I bet it could have much more success, using USB drives or smartphones apps/bluetooth etc.

I highly recommend the memorial box it's a pretty sweet looking package and includes a artbook and soundtrack that covers the entire history of the franchise.

There's a used one on YAJ for about 2000 Yen with no bids right now: http://page10.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/a ... m121852831

If you've never bought from YAJ before I highly recommend Shopping Mall Japan for importing.

Someone is selling a manual for the Versus City version of OMG. The starting price is a steep ¥10,000 so I don't expect it to sell.

lol I think someone added 1 too many zeros...

I have a USA VO Twin manual, they're actually pretty hard to find and I've had countless OMG Twin cabinet owners contact me for information from it.... but I still wouldn't pay more than $10-$15 for one.

A reasonably priced VO Force PCB (30,000Yen) EDIT (admin): Did not sell.

http://page7.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/g142101943

also an EX Hori 360 twin stick with a starting bid at 1,000 Yen EDIT (admin): Sold for ¥9,500, although the condition was terrible (see pic).
http://page15.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/a ... t375857348

I've seen these going pretty cheap lately a PS3 twin-stick sent for 9,000 Yen and the 360 sticks are going for around 12,000

I watch or YAJ VOOT auctions daily because I still want a full set of VOOT arcade sticks for my USA cab..

Saw a panel pop up late last week starting bit at 1Yen... it ended at over 40000Yen http://page11.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/a ... n141018442

The same seller hat a NAOMI Cart, also starting at 1Yen... ended just over 20000Yen http://page8.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/h192984194

It seems the price on these keeps going up and up and up. I don't know why. You can get the Hori Sticks on YAJ for 15000Yen now, you'd think any fans still playing would prefer the new console versions.

Wow I think ¥40,200 is the highest I've ever seen for a Versus City VOOT panel (w/ sticks). But keep in mind the exchange rate is pretty good now so that is only $367.57, so for US buyers it isn't much more (if at all) than a couple years ago with somewhat lower prices but a dramatically worse exchange rate. The ROM price is actually reasonable (especially in USD at $187.44) and probably reflects the fact that you can easily pirate Naomi games now.

I haven't checked the pricing on the Saturn HSS-0130 lately. Here are the current auctions I can find.

This one is boxed and I don't see any fading on the housing, but it has been modded for mahjong PC games and the reserve price of ¥35,000 seems steep.

Assuming you used it regularly, how would you keep it from eventually yellowing like that anyway? Always play in a dark room at night? Or would simply making sure it's never in direct sunlight be enough?

Avoiding direct sunlight should be enough. For the example above you can really see that it is heavily yellowed on the right side, so that side was probably facing a window. The left side and (especially) the plastic under the in-strike card are unaffected and must have had less or no sunlight exposure.

you can fix that with Retr0brite pretty easily:
http://retr0bright.wikispaces.com/

I've used it, it works amazingly well. It wont prevent it from happening again though. the only way to do that is to just paint the damn thing.

On another note I can't believe someone put a Mahjong panel in one of these things and expects to get that much... those MJ panels are practically worthless since there are so many of them and nobody wants them.

Same guy I recently bought my 2 twin stick panels from has another for sale: http://page13.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/a ... r131186456

15000 starting bid with free shipping.

I got mine for 16500 and 18500 respectively so you might be able to get a good deal on this.

chances are you'll see another one go up after this, both of mine were player 1 style and this is a player 2 style panel, so he probably has another player 2 style panel after this one.
