Interesting and disturbing.

Obama passing new law to allow searching of PC's, Laptops, and media devices

Note: this is actually a misleading title, as it implys in the video that a treaty is being worked on between several nations on this. I for one am gravely concerned, although perhaps this is undue.

Does anyone have any information on this? Does it only effect those that are traveling into/out of the country/countries mentioned?

What's the full story behind this?

Why am I not surprised by this... People elect a socialist and border line communist and think they're going to still enjoy their freedom.

I personally find that statement borderline offensive...also, it does nothing to answer my questions..

Your opinion is valued however...

Customs officers have ridiciously powerful search powers when you enter any port, so I am not really surprised by this. When I was still working with Canada Border Services, I had the ability to go through your laptop if you came into the country and I felt there was reasonable grounds to do so.

Funny story, first day at the Peace Bridge, I came accross an engine block sitting around. turns out someone had their entire car dismantled...
