It would be another tradegy itself If I dont get a beating from them as well (not that theres enough of you to do so already but I like to share the beatings.. i mean lessons).

As for donations, our family already made one to the local appeal - though perhaps we could try doing a Oratan Fundrasier? - or how bout get people to sponsor us - a VO day - all money goes to Japan?
Awesome idea. I'm in.

There has been a third explosion at nuke plant. Evacuations are in progress. I have no other info to give. Appears to be a media blackout.

Japan is coming to an end, and I'll be steamed like freshly-made dumplings if those homophobic zealots from Topeka, Kansas protest Japan for whatever bullcrap reason they come up with!!

sorry. I have a tendency of getting the idea that the WBC will act all arrogant and jump to ridiculous conclusions whenever something goes horribly wrong in the world, which they most likely do! You remember the 2006 Sago Mine Disaster, right? Those WBC chumps protested the funerals of the victims, just like the U.S. soldiers at their funerals!

What WBC? Please don't assume we all know what the acronyms stand for; I don't see what the World Boxing Council has to do with Sago...

WBC in this manner stands for Westboro Baptist Church. They're pretty infamous for protesting funerals for U.S. soldiers.

Also it may be time to turn some thereotical science into real. An absolute zero bomb could totally save the plant right now. As it is, I think they're going to have to abandon the plant if they don't get it under control in the next two days.

I played a lot of games with people from Japan in VOOT. Despite the inability to speak with each other, they feel like friends. It is very sad to see the situation they are currently in. I understand Oratan is about Virtual On, and not about troubles of countries around the world, but I was wondering if it is possible make a sticky thread in all the forum section regarding Red Cross donations to the relief in Japan, as well as a frontpage link. We're a small site and all, and not enough viewers, but at least for the few that visit, we can bring awareness to the situation in Japan and how they can help. I'm very fortunate my relative in Japan is OK.

The American Red Cross helps countless individuals affected by disasters both in the U.S. and internationally. Donations will support our disaster relief efforts to help those affected by the earthquake in Japan and tsunami throughout the Pacific. Please help support their work by giving to where the need is greatest.

The American Red Cross is offering several ways of donation including texting to the organization. Text 9-0-9-9-9 and type red cross into a cell phone and you'll be charged an additional ten dollars through your phone company. You can also give by calling 1-800-Red Cross or go to redcross.org to see how to donate online.

I'd be interested in this. Maybe set up a tournament with a 20 dollar entrance fee and 15 dollar fee to watch on livestream.

I'm not sure what you mean by legitimate. Are you talking about organizations like Red Cross?

I just meant real charities. Sadly, there are scams out there, so please check them out before making a recommendation.
