On XBL, I notice when my 2$/2 month subscription ended, there were no more good deals on the dashboard. As soon as I entered a 1 month subscription, I see a 1$/1 month subscription!

This isn't exactly a deal, but computer memory prices are extremely low right now. If you have a computer that could use a performance boost, upgrade the RAM... if possible, max it out. It can make a big difference.

DDR3 has already been very cheap for a while, but DDR2 has been dropping recently as well. Desktop-grade DDR2 has decreased to the level it was at in early 2009, about $25 per 2GB DIMM from established, name-brand manufacturers (Corsair, Crucial, G.Skill, Kingston, Mushkin, Patriot, etc.). Gaming-grade DDR2 is somewhat more expensive, about $30-35 per 2GB DIMM.

If you have an older computer, besides upgrading the RAM, consider replacing the hard drive with an SSD. Prices have dropped on these and there are deals to be found, especially on last year's models (which are still fantastic, though limited to SATA 2.0 whereas the latest support SATA 3.0). Large SSDs are still expensive, so get a "normal" sized SSD (60GB SSDs have been under $100 for a while), install your OS and programs on it, and use your old drive for data.

I don't need this in the slightest but this always a good suggestion. I'm quite tired of people with 10 year old computers thinking that that is acceptable. Throw down a grand on a nice rig and you'll be set for a long time.

If you're buying a PC from the likes of Dell or HP, one thing to pay attention to is the cost of upgrades. It's possible that it will be cheaper to buy the PC with minimal RAM and upgrade it yourself by buying a RAM kit from Amazon, Newegg, or another retailer. If you want an SSD, it is likely that you will save by doing it yourself. When I bought my current laptop, a Lenovo Thinkpad, I wanted it to have 8GB of RAM and an SSD. I could have ordered the laptop with this, but it turned out to be cheaper to order with 4GB RAM (2GB was the default but there was a "free" upgrade promo) and buy an 8GB RAM kit. Doing this was even cheaper than upgrading my order to a single 4GB DIMM (versus the standard two 2GB DIMMs) and buying another single 4GB DIMM elsewhere since I was able to sell that 4GB RAM kit.

For the disk, it was cheaper to get the standard 320GB drive and then buy my own SSD than it was to "upgrade" to only an SSD through Lenovo. Plus, who knows what SSD Lenovo would actually give me. I bought the latest and best one available at the time, so it's very likely the Lenovo-supplied SSD would have performed worse than what I bought myself. I bought a USB enclosure for the original 320GB drive for about $10. My previous laptop had a standard 160GB hard drive so I felt the 120GB would not be too limiting.

Here's a nice deal on an 8GB DDR3 kit (2 x 4GB) for laptops. A year ago this would have been at least $250, but today it's $35.

Decent deal on Xbox Live points... 4000 points for $39.99. It's a physical card so you have to wait for it to be delivered.

You can get Alan Wake(Download code) for something like $7 off of amazon. A lot of the 360 S models came with codes that people didn't use.

Yes, that is possible, but I rather not download 4-8GB of data every once in a while when I want to play it especially on limited storage space.

XBLA Pinball FX 2 Paranormal table is free til Nov 1st!

Paranormal is confusing at first, but it is great pinball table. Much better than their Marvel set of 4 tables.

If you have an American Express credit card you can get a "gift" for making a $25 purchase at certain online stores. For example, I bought a $25 gift card from gamestop.com and received a $20 pre-paid debit card. Also, I had to buy something at Walmart, so I bought three $25 gift cards in three transactions, and got a one-year ShopRunner subscription and two $2 statement credits (better than nothing). There's no guarantee you will get something good (and you may get nothing at all). See the below link for details.
Amex promo: Gift chain

This deal is almost dead, but it might not be too late. If you are going to buy something from one of those stores anyway and have an AMEX card, you might as well sign up before making your purchase since you might win something good.
