# If you can not hear the voice clearly, the staff will send a text message.

・ Have a match with your opponent who the management staff has announced to you.

Winner - leave the party and wait for another invitation (invitation means you have match to do)
Loser - leave the party

Continues to the end.

It is planned to broadcast the tournament from the beginning with ustream
- Ustream is web service in which you can enjoy using only a web browser.
The URL will be opened to the public on this blog on that day. Please wait for the update.

-------------------
I still dont know I will play or not. However, I will be there for management staff for english speakers.

8AM for me, though that's probably worse. I'm more likely to stay up until sunrise than to wake up at that time. But I intend to be there for this.

Thanks a ton for the write-up, Aniking, but I have a few questions:
・ IRC (wide server and ch:#voot360) is the official tournament channel.
Will participation in the IRC channel be required?
# GamerTag is the individual one because of the volunteer.
わかりません。 >_> The meaning of this is not clear to me.

No, the IRC is just used as information center for management staff and mainly communicate in Japanese. You may take a look but not a requirement.

Actually, one more question:
・ Any trouble (disconnection or lag) during matches must be promptly solved.
How poor does the performance have to be in order to justify a rematch? Are there any standards for what is "too much lag," or is it up to the individual players to determine this? What if there is a disagreement?

I don't think it will be a problem (I generally have less problems against Japanese players than American players, in fact), but I was just wondering.

Basically, this time the out of japan players have match against each other first and winner of out of japan players will be advanced to final best 16. So, there should not be so many luggy matches for us. And also management staff thinks even the match was very luggy or not, winning is winning and losing is losing. So maybe there are no re-matches except very hard complain.

I'm still deciding what to do... I'd probably lose right away (since most of you guys are better than me), but it could be fun. I'd only be a couple of flukes away from playing in a Japanese tournament.

It'll be tough getting up that early, but I'm in. :D
Also, as Schooly said, which IRC server or network is being used?

As I posted above, the IRC is used for information center of management staffs. The server is Japanese "wide" server group and the writing on the IRC is mostly Japanese. I simply transrated Japanese guide to English and left about IRC but I belive non-Japanese speakers not need to look at the IRC.

Nonsense. It'll be awesome.

I'm not familiar with a "wide" server group. Does this IRC server have an address?

Im so sorry about the IRC server issue. I honestly tell you. Im the only one management staff who can speak English and Japanese. They use IRC for inform hows tournament going, like, how many guys done already, or like, how many matches are remaining. And writing is in Japanese so there shold not be easy for you guys who cannot read Japanese. I can not ask them to talk in English, you know. So, still you may google about wide server. This is the first tournament for them international and they are not ready for it yet. Please understand how hard the adjustment between Japanese people and non-Japanese people.

Uh, alright? I wasn't trying to make them speak English. I just wanted to be in the room. Besides, maybe one of them knows a little English.

Bugger.

I've come down with a bad flu this weekend(probably my rassa-frackin' boss' kids), so I'm going to have to drop out, and after this message I'm going to pass out with an ice pack on my head. :(
I've emailed the tournament staff as well. Sorry! Everyone, do your best, and I hope they hold another tournament!

Beat Menthol for the first time ever! I have a feeling that the stage and possible drowsiness on his part might have helped a little.

Started strong against Schooly and then got stomped into the ground, as usual. :(

I'll be watching the stream for a while. I also plan on uploading videos from the tournament to Youtube unless someone else gets around to it first. EDIT: Aniking, do you mind posting the gamertags for the top 16 so that I know what videos to look for?

Ooh, looks like they just started playing the final 16 on the stream.
