FORMAT: Single-elimination tournament random seeding
This competition is opened to all VO players around the world who are not already sign up for the Japanese tournament on Oct3.
Oratan members please register by posting your Xbox Live Gamertag and your VR of choice here. Please select ONE VR only. For non-member, please become an Oratan member

I will update this post with late breaking news and roster, please check back often.
Basic rules are:
- No VR switching at any point during the tournament.
- Game type: 80 sec, two rounds, and minimum 1 observer (me), and random stage.
- Losing contestant will post game reply on the VOOT leaderboard. If we all do that then we should have all replays from this tournament for all to watch
- Contestant will accept my friend request in Xbox Live.
- During the match if network problem occurs, a rematch will be granted if both contestants back online. If only one back online, the online contestant will advance to the next round.
- Only one rematch will be granted for network problem. If disconnection occurs again during the rematch, I will make the final call on who will advance based on performance.
- If a contestant involves in three network disconnections throughout the tournament, this contestant will leave the competition.
- If lag occurs during a match, it’s up to contestant to raise the complaint and it must be done before match ends. I will determine if a rematch is warrant based on lagging severity. If lagging occurs again during the rematch, I will challenge each contestant a trial match (1 round 80 sec.) to determine who causes the lag. The lagging contestant will leave the competition.
- Contestant will leave the competition if he/she delays the competition in any way.
- I will make the final call if dispute occurs.
- Contestant will leave the competition if not following the rules.
- Contestant registers with his Xbox Live Gamertag and his VR of choice.
- I will update the roster.
- I will send contestant a friend request on Xbox Live.
- Registration deadline is Sept 26 Saturday night.
- On Sept 27 morning, I will randomly pair up contestants and post the bracket here.
- If there is an odd number of contestants, there will be an extra round with randomly selected contestants.
- Tournament will start on Sunday Sept 27 at 10PM Eastern time. I will be online earlier that night and start sending Xbox Live party invites.
- Only the invitees will enter the Xbox Live party Player Match lobby in VOOT.
- Only 1 match will be playing at one time and I will be the observer to confirm the result.
- When the match is finished, both contestants will leave the lobby and my Xbox Live party.
- The winner will stay online and wait for the next invitation from me.
- The losing contestant will post the game replay to the leaderboard.
- I will update the bracket online here to keep everyone updated for up coming matches.
- By the mean time, I will send Xbox Live party invitation to the next pair and start the next match… This will go on until the winner is announced.
The winner has a reserved direct entry into the round of 16 of the Japanese VOOT tournament on Saturday October 3 @ 8AM Eastern time. If the winner has difficulty to make it, the tournament runner up will take the spot. However it’s best for both the winner and the runner up to wake up early morning on Oct 3 in case there is a last minute “change of plan” on either of them. They could have warm up matches before the Japanese tournament and remember, we are counting on YOU, not just giving you pressure
