- Game settings: 80-second rounds, 2 rounds to win, 6 observers
- If a player is not online when he is supposed to play, he will be given 15 minutes to show up, otherwise it is a forfeit
- If a player is online when he is supposed to play but is not responding, other matches of the round will be played until he returns. If he is not back by the end of that round of the tournament, it is a forfeit
- In the event of network problems, 1 rematch will be granted. In the event of another network problem, the tournament organizer will decide the outcome

- Non-players can stay in the party and observe, but I may have to make room for people who are due to play
- This will continue until a winner is determined

Tag Battle Matches
A Tag Battle Match is where a player chooses 2 VRs and plays one match with one VR and another match is played with the other. Match's are best 2 out of 3. Incase of a tie breaker match (I.E both's players have one win) both players may choose either one their VR's for the final match.

Example: Player 1 has Aph B and Aph C. Player 2 has Temjin and 10/80. In the first match Player 2 beats Player 1 with Temjin. In the next match Player 1 wins with Aph C. In the third match Player 1 decides to go back to Temjin while Player 2 keeps playing with Aph C. Any questions or comments about this post below or message over live, my gamercard is right below.

Does the random seeding apply to each individual round, or do people get to choose which VR to use for each round? Also do the two VR choices have to be different? :)

1. Nah I'll probally make a ladder on what I think will be awesome fights and go from there. 2. You pick your VRs before the tourney starts. No changing after the tourney starts or ELSE. 3. No duplicates allowed, however you can choose random and on the off chance you get the same VR then you can play with dups.

Edit: I'm thinking of starting the tourney 2 weeks from now @ Sat 10:00 P.M. Any complaints?

Bah, 2 VRs is too biased against players who only really know one VR IMHO.

This is a cool new wrinkle. Forcing us to use two VRs gives us a chance to see some new moves and strategies we wouldn't normally see. Plus, we each get more playing time, with more matches being played and more fun to go around. So, I'm onboard.

I would be one of those people. But, I wouldn't want to call myself a good Virtual-On player if I could only win with Temjin. I'm curious to see how everyone's secondary VRs hold up, and it's going to be a fun ride.

My Stein-Vok is worse than my Specineff and my Specineff has never won a tournament match. ;)

As long as you can win consistently, you're good. :)

I agree that it'll be interesting, but it'll suck if we don't end up sending our best player to the Japanese tournament. USA! USA! Or Canada! Or whatever.

Most people who are super serious about fighting games tend to pick 1 character and stick with it for life.

Anyway, I'm in. I don't think you'll have to guess which two VRs I'm picking, but I can spell it out if you need it.
