Virtual On Force - out now - apparently region free!

As far as I know, Virtual On is like totally unknown in Europe.

Europe (France at least) does no longer have any VOOM arcade machine working and never had any VOOT machine imported.

Yeah, same here. Another finnish player told me he used to play on a VO machine when he was a kid but I doubt there are any machines left here.

Really, the only reason I found out and started playing VOOT was because I was a fan of Senko no Ronde and the shmups forum and senko community payed some interest to the VOOT XBLA release.

Ah... the top down VO/Mechagirls game. I can't ever figure out a way to beat that satelite boss at the end The machine got replaced after being in the arcade for around 2 or so months, coz no one ever beat that boss.

Unless the box is shaped like a V-Converter, screw that. I'm not forking over an extra $40 for soundtracks I already have and a probably thin booklet filled with random text facts about how the series last for 15 years, but only have 4 games.

It is of course possable, though not very likely, that outside of japan they release it on XBLA as opposed to a physical disk. Which would suck, and rock at the same time.

Suck because you'd have no physical disk.

Rock because it seemed to work for voot, and could, in theroy, work for force.

Just my 2 Cents till we hear official word.

It'be very unfair for Japanese players to pay 60 bucks whereas it is sold for 1200MSP elswhere (or whatever its price, it can not be sold for $60 on XBLA).

About the price, VOOT is one of the best games I've ever played, it's plenty worth 1200MSP, but for people who didn't know that game, it was very expensive, even if the game has an awesome online versus mode. So $60 for a game that looks like VOOT (or slightly better) is horribly expensive when you can buy an awesome full-HD game for that price.

I think I'll buy Virtual On Force whatever its price, but I really hope I will not have to pay for a japanese xbox and $60 for a remake that is not technically better than VOOT.

Wow. I showed my friend the lesbian robot twincest scene in Fei Yen's ending... he wanted to know more. He does a google search for "Virtual On robot boobs" and pulls up that article, and now he's going to buy the game just because of it. I guess it WAS good marketing!

It isn't like it's really anything new. The different boob and ass sizes for Fei-Yen (I can't believe I just wrote that >_<) have been publicized before in one of the CG-artwork booklets that are included with some of Hasegawa's limited release models...

The moment things really start to go wrong is when they start advertising a larger "shotgun" for Apharmd...
