It would be nice if there was some formal confirmation. A forum member here is a Sega employee so I sent him an email about it.

Looks like PlayAsia is sending out Force early for Christmas. Mine is already in the air, should have it by tomorrow or the day after

You're not the only one, Guarayakha. I just found out not long ago that my copy of Force has already shipped, too :D.

I'll also be getting mine tomorrow too, and I'm hoping it'll be region free, but I doubt it.

Tell us if it is indeed region locked asap please. I found a place where I can get the Mem. Box and all the pre order cleavage up until the day of release so unless I place the order tomorrow, I won't be able too... and I'm not sure if I want to pay that much for a pretty coaster ^_^'

I think it is region free.

Near the end of the article mentions something about region free.

Google Translated;
Force in Japan and Asia (the content is the same as Japan) is the only sale, or for actual results will also translated to English there quietly. 実績は世界共通の楽しみですからね! I'll look forward to a common actual world! 残念ながら正式に欧米での発売はありませんが、実績マニアは国を超えてソフトを買うスキルを持ってるので(笑)、きっとなんとか入手してくれるはず! Unfortunately, officially launched in the West, but the actual mania buy the software because I have skills beyond the country (laughs), should be able to somehow get right! バーチャロンフォースはリージョンフリーなんで世界中でプレイしていただけますよー。 You have to play it to yo Bacharonfosu Nde region free world. よろしくお願いします! Thank you! >世界中の実績マニアの方々 > People worldwide performance enthusiasts

Excite jp translated;
Results are quietly translated into English though force is Japan and sales only of Asia (Contents are the same as Japan). Results are a common enjoyments to the world. Just asked someone else to translate and he confirms that article says its region free. Probably importing the asian version :D

Awesome surprise. The thread title should probably be edited to show that its a disc release and region free.

edit: yep, ordered with ups shipping :)

The box, still wrapped and in its sleeve. Whiter than my bed sheet.

The actual box

OST set, 6 discs in all.

Mini Tangram

Side view. Also, very bouncy, and solid. Would've hurt a lot if someone were to throw this at your face.

Cardboard Sleeve

Inside the game case

Comes with a guidebook for BorderBreak

A peek into the book(art by huke, who also did Black Rock Shooter). Alot of text at the end, hopefully someone would be kind enough to translate these, seems to touch on some character concepts and stuffs.

And the ultimate, final kick- The boob code card.

Unfortunately, code only works starting tomorrow, so I'm stuck with the DFC Fei-Yens for the night :(

Region-Free? Really? I can't believe it! But someone who has the game please confirm that this is true. And does anyone know anywhere that I can still get the memorial box?

In the latest column it appears that not only will Virtual On Force be localised into English on the Japanese and Asian versions (presumably triggered by your console’s system language settings) but also that it will be entirely region free as well. Whilst there is still no word on an official Western release, this does allow for importers to buy the game without fear of it not working on their 360 (meaning you can buy it here if you want to). This was done intentionally as well it seems, as a sort of thank you to the Western fanbase. In addition to this good news, the column also lays out all 32 of the game’s achievements too.

Also, I encourage anyone who has ordered Force and wants too to put the add on in my sig in theirs... sort of a way to keep track of who can be challenged.

That's great news! Who knows if I'll actually play, but at least I can try it out. My memorial box should be here in a couple days.

EDIT: Also my GamerScore might finally progress past 200!!!

Hahaha! :lol: Good luck on the gamerscore MM! The new mark of a hardcore will be someone with just accomplishments in 2 games instead of one.

Also, in response to all the inevitable WHERE DO I GET IT NOW I KNOW I CAN responses:

http://www.shopncsx.com/dennousenki.aspx

Great price for the normal game. Used to have the MemBox but I got the last one (don't be hatin'!)

And the MemBox can be had (at an iflated price :( ) here:

Still cheaper on play-asia (50$), I'm betting they'll raise the price real soon though, as usual with region free stuff.

Wait a minute... It cost less to buy from play-asia than to buying it in Japan at 6090 yen...?
