VO Music Covers

Post by Alter Requiem »

Hey, buckos. I was upset with the lack of Virtual On music being covered, so I've dedicated part of my channel to music covers, starting with my favorite tracks from VO. My very first attempt at music was the Jaguarandi theme from CTVO, and while its decent I'll probably revisit it once I improve more. However, I just finished my second project and I really feel like I've done it justice. Let me know what you think.

Thanks.

Not bad. I'm only listening on crappy monitor speakers. Long ago when it wasn't that easy to get import Japanese merchandise, I got into a bidding war with someone on ebay for the original VOOM soundtrack and made him pay hundreds of dollars for it. Then a few weeks later I won the same thing on ebay for a low price. Nowdays you can get it or other soundtracks very cheaply if you know how to shop on Japanese websites online.

Headphones with good bass definitely add to the experience. There's a lot of subtlety that goes unnoticed on mono or **** speakers.

Fun fact, the PC version of CTVO works as a soundtrack if you pop it into a CD player. Used to jam to it as a kid that way.

I knew that, and I owned the PC game before I got into that bidding war. I think there might be extra tracks on the soundtrack and also it is the full length songs (although it might just loop, I can't remember for this particular game).

I have good speakers, some hooked up to a TV system, some hooked up to a computer system. But neither of those has internet. My internet setup for TV has rather poor speakers, and my internet computer setups have no speakers at all.
