That's true, but this is a bit extreme. I've seen auctions for a VO Force ROM plus Hikaru go for about $1,000, so I don't see what justifies the extra $3,500. The auctions I've seen for VO Force control panels also have gone for about $1,000, but this auction doesn't even include VO Force controls, just a custom box.

One nice thing about this one is that it includes the card reader, but I'm not sure how rare or expensive they are (I believe other games use the same reader, so it should be common). I guess someone really wanted a complete, ready to use setup. I bet they will curse themselves if VO Force is announced for Xbox 360 soon!
