VO: Force- A simple guide to AI (Now with Menu Translations)
The game isn't as localized as you'd think, so I figured that this would help ease down on the head scratching when it comes to the Japanese texts in AI creation
When you first start the game, you're given a randomly selected AI named "CPU". To have a personal AI as a partner, go to Terminal and select AI Management.
You'll be presented with 3 options, from the top:
AI Set
New AI Creation
AI Deletion
Begin by selecting the 2nd option, which prompts you with the VR select menu. You'll return back to the 3 options. Now select the 1st option to setup your AI. You'll be presented with 3 new options:
Select AI
Remove AI
Edit AI
Select AI- A page listing of available AI you've created. Pick the AI you want, then exit to the main menu to let the system save and assign your AI partner.
Remove AI- This option doesn't delete your AI, but simply remove the AI from your partner slot so it defaults back to "CPU". Exit to the main menu once you're done.
Edit AI- You can change the properties of your AI here:
Attributes:
Friendship: 0= Lonewolf AI, 10=Performs Rescue Dash when needed.
Shoot (Offense): 10= Triggerhappy AI
Shoot (Defense): Projectile Evasion
Melee (Offense): 10= Aggressive CC
Melee (Defense): CC defense
Movement: 0= Less active, 10= Hyperactive
Below the attributes are options to:
Rename the AI
Assigning a different color
Confirm the edits.
You'll need to play Mission mode with the AI partner you wish to level up. You'll get AI points upon clearing a mission. SS rank usually nets you 3 points. You're given a maximum of 50 points to fill up the attributes, and there's no turning back after you've "Confirm your Edits", so be wise when spending your points
Hope this helps. Feel free to correct me if I got anything wrong

I don't suppose you could also do a quick rundown of the options menu, too? :p

Re: VO: Force- A simple guide to AI
So I guess Sega lied when they said it was translated? Or is it just really bad wording?

Let me add one more thank you! Trying to make heads or tails of the AI menu was driving me crazy.
Can you translate the Online Menus and Error Messages?

Re: VO: Force- A simple guide to AI (Now with Menu Translati
Question: The VR names are in English on the, say, VR Viewer but in japanese on the character select screen. Is there a way to display them in English? Or is it just a matter of remembering. This isn't a problem for most VRs (Temjin, Fei-Yen and the like have it easy, and Specieneff all look radically different) but it's a real pain for the VOX and Myzr.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Unfortunately, no . Luckily, they're in Katakana, so learning them shouldn't be as hard as learning hiragana(curvy, roundish texts) or Kanji(full-on Chinese blocks).
Katakana chart attached, rather easy to follow

Can you do a quick translation of the 1st and 3rd row in the Trophies menu? (I have managed to figure out the rest of them, but the 1st row is especially tricky)

You can actually see the english version of the trophy requirements in your xbox's trophy section, outside of the game, if that helps

Can you tell me where that is? The trophies are not achievements if that's what you're thinking of.guarayakha wrote:You can actually see the english version of the trophy requirements in your xbox's trophy section, outside of the game, if that helps
