GGs to daverudolph again, uploaded one of the matches too. Damn those balls and you staying behind walls, I had to keep shooting everything at you all the time so you had to keep moving.

Re: Good Games/ Bad Games Thread
Thanks for the tip! Funny enough I was just playing Zaarock. He likes his daggers and jumping melee combos, but at least I was playing a LOT better than I was against you (going from Peggle to VOOT isn't easy). I even pulled off that nifty air-dash melee on him when he was down, though I still need to readjust my overall tactics. Good games all.Schooly D wrote:Back-cCW
It works well as an anti-air move when the opponent is over your head, but the slow movement of the back dash combined with the freeze time leaves you vulnerable.
Oh, and good games! You remind me of a young Zaarock

Well i finally had the chance to fight PhantomPhoton aka PhantomPhantom
The fights were epic enough to cause "dead zones"
basically xbox failed on us again.
gg's as well to neoken, and falconpunch.

We did have some good games. I'll admit, your Temjin was the better dancer. I tried to make mine dance, but he just kept stabbing you. I guess he had two left feet.
A "dead zone" happens when you switch your VR, enter a game, or leave a game, and you basically get to stare at a blank screen (aka the "grid") for up to minutes at a time. I suspect it's caused by some of the servers going down for maintenance, as it happened late at night.
But, if this happens to you, we figured out the perfect solution! Basically you have to tell the dead zone that you love it and that it's the whole reason why you play VOOT. Then the dead zone gets confused and goes away. At least that's what Tieria did, and it seemed to work pretty well. So, remember that the next time you play at 2:00 in the morning.

I'll bet the rest of you are curious as to what we are talking about.Tieria Arde wrote:The fights were epic enough to cause "dead zones"

Re: Good Games/ Bad Games Thread
I havent really ever had a bad game. There was one time that i went off on some five star general. He was japanese, and like. Thats it. It wasnt cool of me, but i was really frustrated and wondering why a five star general would bother spamming a cadet with challenges until he accepted. What would he get out of it? Other than that ive had lucky nights against other high ranking peoples, and people in my rank area. But yeah, i know what to expect when going into a match with higher ranking peoples. So, i cant bitch if i lose. Well, not anymore anyway. Haha.

A big GG goes out to Schooly D, who schooled me again tonight. Thanks for the games and for staying up late. I saved almost all of the replays, so I'm going to study my mistakes so that my next beating isn't as bad. I will go into work exhausted tomorrow, but it was worth it!

A Shout out to anikingVOOT.
GG's today indeed.
You always take it up a notch.....which is good, so I can learn from my mistakes,
and be more of a better opponent.

Cosmos and I played Super Virtuaroid Wars tonight.
The lagging was so hilariously bad it felt like we were playing a turn-based strategy game.

Good games to Zaarock, Fredo, NeoKen, and Alaric. I needed some non-AI opponents for my Stein Vok.

GGs to Fredo, DeepInTheHops, Tieria Arde, neoken, Cipher and Falconpunch.
Played a lot these past two days, getting better than I was before sending my 360 to repairs I think. Today I learned to dash CC pretty efficiently even though I never did it before. Cypher's sword is nice and long for dash CCing. The replay I currently have uploaded has some dash CCing going on (and stupid mistakes). Plenty of epic fights in the many hours I played with Fredo.
I also met a great japanese Ajim player called x2cy on custom player match, he managed to win almost half the matches we had and ABO holded me once. Was a lot of fun having to learn to adapt to new attacks I've never really seen before and he knew what he was doing.
I need to get some more soundtracks to listen to while playing haha, I always listen to something while playing VOOT and have played so much. Been mostly listening to various shmup soundtracks, works nicely

Since I couldnt participate in the comp I pretty much played all day with fredo and others.. many epic fights were had and much was learned. Uploaded a replay of one of the best matches I've ever had, though there were two pretty much as epic ones today, hard to choose! Picked this one because of the madness going on on the first round.
