Re: VOOT Night
Yes, this weekend sounds great. I kinda wish I hadn't taken weeknight classes. They are taking up my precious VOOT times!
I assume 8PM EST on weekends?

Good games to everyone who showed up tonight! It was a much larger turnout than expected! Sorry I had to bail early

Re: VOOT Night
Last night was not VOOTy enough! It was just Schooly kicking my ass for a while, then switching to Ajim, assumedly out of mercy.
GGs to Schooly, though.

Yeah, I sort of forgot to advertise it. I'll remember to do so next time.

Re: VOOT Night
Since nobody has been playing on Wednesdays, no. We had a good turnout a few weeks ago, but that's it.Exorcet wrote:Any chance at recording these?
In general it's just the tournaments that get recorded. We haven't had one in a while, though.
Things are still hoppin' in Japan, though. I've been taking Mondays off recently, so I've been playing VOOT in the morning (Monday night there). Lots of people in the ranked lobby at that time. I should change my schedule at work so I can squeeze in a few matches in the morning.

At least I got in a few decent matches tonight before my router started acting up again.
Also, I now officially feel old.

Re: VOOT Night
VOOT Night got started a little late tonight, but we actually had a good turnout. I don't think most of the people showed up because of VOOT Night though, I just think they were on.
I think it was also the nerdiest VOOT party we've had... ever. It was essentially non-stop discussion about obscure video games, anime, childhood obsessions, and Dr Doujinshi throwing out the occasional 4chan meme.
Good games to Shamanic, TechnicalSword, FruitieDinosaur, Mechazoidal (!), Dr Doujinshi, and Specy, the wonder from down under.

Yes, your old-person rage was palpable! But we can't all grow up with Transformers you know.mechazoidal wrote:Also, I now officially feel old.

This is what I get for missing a Wednesday... Last week it was just me hanging out in the ranked lobby!Schooly D wrote:VOOT Night got started a little late tonight, but we actually had a good turnout.
Do we have an age thread here? For some reason I remember thinking I'm older than most people here (29).mechazoidal wrote:Also, I now officially feel old.

It was hearing about Power Rangers that put it over the top, with repressed memories of my baby cousins demanding it every time they were over at my parents' house.Schooly D wrote:Yes, your old-person rage was palpable! (I'm 31; the oldest of them is midway through college now)

Will anyone be around this and next weekend? I really need to play some more and try to find my style.

Re: VOOT Night
I'm assuming that VOOT night will be going on this Wednesday, right? If it is, I'll try to get on at that time (the gamertag I use is Monterrey1021, btw).
Actually, I'm 16, so don't think that only old people play VO.Davo87 wrote:Then that puts me in the middle. (24) I doubt theres anyone here younger than 20.
Examples of unintended hilarity, generously provided by Vash:
"With Geico, you can save thousands of money!"
"I am the only one playing with myself at night."

Re: VOOT Night
Technically it's every Wednesday. Some weeks we get good turnouts, some weeks nobody shows up.
That reminds me, whatever happened to the USIT tournaments? Is Japan no longer having their tournaments, or is it just a lack of participants on our side?

Japan's still having theirs. Just a lack of participation on our side. Interest in VOOT has dropped off sharply -- I doubt we could get more than 4 people to do a USIT tournament now.DeepInTheHops wrote:That reminds me, whatever happened to the USIT tournaments?
