Re: Good Games/ Bad Games Thread
And we did it again last night! This time we had me, Chunky Puff, Shamanic, neoKEN, Goliath, Tieria, Kygen, ShadeWolf, Kiritsumi, Aniking, Chasiumen, Zaarock, and Fredo. (Correct me if I missed anyone.) Shall I just go ahead and say it?
This was the best VOOT weekend we've ever had! Full rooms for two consecutive nights, and the fun lasted all night long. Sorry to those who couldn't make it!
Congratulations to me, the last man standing after last night's games when the room finally game to an end at about 9:30 AM EST. In fact, I am still standing as I type this (at 11:30 EST). That's right, I still have not gone to sleep yet, and am about on my third wind, which has strangely allowed me to plow through lots of high-ranking Japanese players! Let's see how long I can go without falling asleep. You may just see me on tonight...without having gotten any sleep today!
Here's a fun fact for you. Which game was it that made me buy the Xbox 360?
Nope, not Virtual-On. Not Halo 3. Not even Gears of War.
It was Ace Combat 6, which was a 360 exclusive. That was one of the games I was really good in, and it showed last night, when I finally played an Ace Combat match against Aniking! But in VOOT, not Ace Combat!
What's that? An Ace Combat match is when you have two Cyphers who can only attack out of the Airplane (not SLC) mode, hence, a game that feels just like you are playing in an actual air combat game! (OK, not really, but you get the point.) You can see the replay I uploaded for an example.
Please allow me to use this opportunity to get you interested in HAWX 2, which is coming out next month. If you like air combat games, then I think you will really enjoy this game. It is superior to the Ace Combat series, in my opinion, due to the lack of cheap missiles (which have plagued the AC series for some time now) and due to the third-person perspective known simply as "Assistance Off." This feature allows you to maneuver a lot better than in most air combat games, resulting in less time mindlessly chasing the other guy's tail, and more time firing and evading weapons. In HAWX 2, there will be even less tail-chasing, and more objective-based combat in multiplayer, which really sounds fun.
If someone else would like to post some of the other details of last night's games that I conveniently left out, please step right up!

You forgot one about the special names that Tieria gave us. Apparently, he was set on giving us all porno names (we were acting very immature, Tieria and me especially). We even came up with names for those who didn't play last night. If anyone cares, I can post them, as I've still got them written down on paper.PhantomPhotonX wrote:If someone else would like to post some of the other details of last night's games that I conveniently left out, please step right up!
Also, we gotta save up money for the production of the Six Billion Dollar Cable. I got $47, which should be enough to make the "shuh nuh nuh nuh nuh nuh" sound.

Re: Good Games/ Bad Games Thread
A Japanese player sent me a message saying we were funny. I think that was her way of saying we were scaring the **** out of her (and that was before the porn names).
Many people VOOTed for like 4~6 hours.
PPX broke my record with a consecutive 13~ hour VOOTing. He hasn't put down his controller yet.
I was stalking Aniking and supposedly he would try and go for 16 hours of VOOT.

Edit: Also forgot. We had the legendary Ukei in our party last night. You guys were so mean to him.

Alright, here's our new names, according to Tieria:
Me: Big Kahuna
Tieria: Sexy Girl living next door
Aniking: Sexy Father
Phantom: Incest Master
Shamanic: Rapeman
Kygen: Sexy Farmer
Shadewolf: Mary with the Cherry
Fredo: Hot Carpenter
Goliath: Juicy Mom's Extra Chunky Peanut Butter (the word "peanut" was originally something different
)
And those who didn't play last night, but were deemed worthy for a new name anyway:
Schooly: Loli D
Vash: Geico Gecko
Mentholmoose: Manny the Tranny
DaveRudolph: Deepthroat Dave
And neoKEN didn't get a name, cause he said he was too old for this sh*t.

You probably wouldn't have enjoyed last night too much, considering the name Tieria gave you.DeepInTheHops wrote:Good God, I need to start logging in on Friday/Saturday nights. I keep missing out on these.

No, Aniking was a jerk (in a good way) to us and not Ukei. He trolled us through his Dordray as usual.

My official time is 12.5 hours. Eventually, all the Japanese players left, as they inevitably do, and so I had to finally put down the controller. But I haven't slept a wink yet.

WTF ROFLMAOFredo: Hot Carpenter

Yeah taht was great !
I was surprised to see so much players, I was just waking up (around 9 AM in France when I joined) when I saw that huge Party Game, I couldn't let that go without me xD
In fact, 8-players Party game, sometimes, it's not enough, I had to wait for a player to leave to have my ticket for my ass to be kicked by Anaking Himeslf.

VOOT: Raiden, Apharmd C, Apharmd B, Cypher, Temjin

I joined after waking up as well, GGs all. Rarely get to have as many matches with PPX and Aniking

Pity I wasn't there to use the old man excuse myself... I'm pretty sure I'm older than neoKEN. Although I guess I have to appreciate the irony of going out to see a movie of pure manliness (The Expendables) and returning to find out I got a gay nickname in the meantime.chunkypuff31 wrote:You probably wouldn't have enjoyed last night too much, considering the name Tieria gave you.DeepInTheHops wrote:Good God, I need to start logging in on Friday/Saturday nights. Also, PPX's marathon run resulted in me getting my 2,000th ranked loss. I don't think anybody outside of Japan has achieved such epic failure.

Re: Good Games/ Bad Games Thread
I logged in one last time Sunday at 7:00 PM. Seeing no one, I decided to call it a day and crashed at about 7:30. I had been awake for 31 straight hours.
Not as bad as when I was in college though, as a really tough programming project had me awake for about 64 straight hours. So glad I don't have to do that crap anymore!
And don't you think it is more epic when you are Japanese and fail? Since Japanese players tend to have superhuman VOOT powers and such...they really have no excuse to lose, unlike us. (Insert Ukei reference here.)

Why so negative? You have > a 1:1 win-loss ratio, don't you? The glass is half full!DeepInTheHops wrote:Also, PPX's marathon run resulted in me getting my 2,000th ranked loss. I don't think anybody outside of Japan has achieved such epic failure.

When they lose to me, I just assume they blame it on the lag.PhantomPhotonX wrote:And don't you think it is more epic when you are Japanese and fail? Since Japanese players tend to have superhuman VOOT powers and such...they really have no excuse to lose, unlike us. (Insert Ukei reference here.)
