For those who may not be totally aware of the technical bits, the model 2 setup is abit useless without the monitor it comes with, or a monitor capable of the same resolution, which is some odd number. 24 htz if i remember right, not too sure anymore.

I'm not sure about the model 3 however. naomi has a vga port so your good there.

Yes you will need a cabinet to put it in, or at least an arcade monitor.

Model 3 is also 24KHz:
System 16 - Model 3 Step 2.0 Hardware (Sega)

Naomi has VGA out so that is the best choice if you don't have a cab.
