Re: Deals thread
This Saturday, January 24, Amazon Prime will be discounted to $72 instead of the usual $100. However if you are student you are better off getting it via Amazon Student for the regular price of $50. Sorry that this isn't exactly gaming-related, but Amazon does have frequent deals on games so Prime can come in handy.

Neogames (via eBay) has an Xbox Live Gold 12-month card for $35.99. This is the lowest price I've seen for this in a while and probably won't last much longer.

GameStop has the Nintendo Wii U 8GB Basic Skylanders SWAP Force Bundle for $199.99. YMMV since you need to find a store with it in stock. You can get another 8% off by buying GameStop e-giftcards from Cardpool. And the Skylanders stuff can probably be sold on eBay for a few bucks.

Anyone need to renew their Gold sub? Blutek (via eBay) has the Xbox Live Gold 12-month card for a reasonable $35.99 with free shipping.

Newegg (via eBay) has the Mushkin ECO2 480GB SSD for only $165.99 with free shipping. Also if you subscribe to the eBay promotion emails, look for an eBay Bucks promo. Mine has the subject "For our VIPs–earn 5X eBay Bucks" so that's good for 10% eBay Bucks. An SSD is not exactly gaming-related but can be useful, especially for PC games which are taking up more and more space nowadays.

Antonline (via eBay) has the Nintendo Wii U Deluxe Set for $259.99 with free shipping. With the 10% bucks promo I mentioned above it's a nice price.

Re: Deals thread
I didn't get that promo e-mail, but I don't subscribe. However, even though I don't subscribe, I still get a constant barrage of useless promos through my ebay messages, generally trying to get me to sell stuff on ebay. There doesn't seem to be any way to turn them off and no place to complain about it to.

eBay has a nice promo today. There is a 5X (10%) eBay Bucks promo (targetted) that can be combined with coupon code CDTECH10 good for 10% off electronics over $200. If you've been thinking about buying a laptop, tablet, phone, TV, or other electronic device, today might be a good day to pull the trigger. The Bucks promo ends tomorrow but the promo code ends today.

Today eBay has a promo that's even better than the last one. Coupon code CTWENTY gives 20% off gift cards. This includes eBay gift cards so you can just buy those to then buy whatever you want.

Re: Deals thread
Deals don't seem that great this year but I did finally pick up a wired Xbox 360 controller for $25. The same deal from last year but this time I had something else to buy with it to fill my $35 cart for free shipping. The controller was actually slightly cheaper for a few hours, down to $23.15 according to amazon trackers.
There are also a ton of Chinese knock-offs of the wired 360 controller the last few months. Amazon trackers show a flood of 3rd party listings in the official controller page at price points around $15 to $19. I actually ordered one of these myself a couple days ago, but quickly canceled the order after I noticed that double-checking my order revealed I had somehow been redirected to buy a knockoff brand that somehow links to the official, authentic amazon product page.

Newegg has a Xbox Live 12-Month Gold Digital Code for $32.99 with promo code EMCEKEL84. This is the cheapest I've seen in a while!

Re: Deals thread
So the Xbone S is out. Currently the "Launch Edition" is priced at $399.99.
Xbox One S 2TB Console - Launch Edition - Amazon.com
Xbox One S 2TB Console - Launch Edition + Halo 5 / Doom / Quantum Break - Newegg (via eBay)
The Newegg bundle is even better if you qualify for the current 10% eBay Bucks promotion. I'm tempted but will probably have to pass. There are no must have games for me on Xbone, plus Scorpio is coming next year.

Bandai Namco has some PC games on sale (Steam required). A couple that caught my eye are Tales of Zestiria for $7.99 and Project Cars for $14.99.
