Does anyone know if there are any active arcade cabinets in Tokyo ( a long call to expect anyone to know really), but thought it worth a shot to ask.
Ideally accessable via subway o_O. Any info/suggestions much appreciated - heading over there on the 22nd.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Voot / VO4 Machines in Tokyo?
It's hard to say but best guess is that they probably won't have them as it's about a decade since VO4 was released onto the arcade systems. I could be wrong as I don't live in Tokyo but that's probably the scenario...
I'm now VO:F ready, bring it on!

If you do find any, post some details (and pics if you can). When I was there (way back in 2000) I pretty much just went to random arcades (whenever I saw one I checked it out) and most had VOOT cabinets.

I heard there are VOOT machines in akihabara. Rumors are that experienced players gather up at night and go to the arcades to play it.
VOOM: Temjin, Viper II, Dorkas.
VOOT: Temjin, Aph B.
VO4: Temjin, Aph J/C, Myzr Delta.

If you come across this cabinet please please PLEASE try to get some high resolution pictures straight on of each of the stickers so I can draw up some replica art work.

I'm going to be in Tokyo from the 16-20 of May. I was hoping someone on here had found some but I guess not. I'll keep an eye out and if I see any I'll let you guys know

Go to Club Sega in Shinjuku. I was there in 2006 and they had VOOM, VOOT, and Force. They weren't on the first floor and it's not obvious that building has more than one floor, so find the stairs.
Friday night is when a lot of them play, but that was years ago. VOOT 360 hadn't come out yet, etc.
edit: I did an internet search just now and apparently there are lots of Club Segas, but probably only one in each city. So Akihabara has one, Shibuya, etc.
Probably Akihabara and Shinjuku Club Segas would be your best bet to find Virtual-On.

There are lots of smaller arcades on the fringes of the city that have older titles like the VO games. Do some asking around in the major arcades if you don't find any cabs there and I bet you'll get steered in the right direction. I just wish Tangerine Spur was still open.

Re: Voot / VO4 Machines in Tokyo?
I was just in Tokyo last weekend.
Club Sega in Shinjuku (on the west side of the station) has VOOT on the bottom floor. No VOOM. I didn't check the other floors for Force or anything else.
Trip report:
Played two rounds with some Japanese guy. Raiden vs. Cypher / Raiden vs. Raiden. Best 3/5. Lost a couple rounds up front before I remembered LtCW(L/R), and got back my timing for Turbo Rotation -> CW(L/R) -> Dash Cancel. Then started winning. The guy was smiling pretty wide, we had a good time.
(I came to Tokyo 14 years too late.
