Here's a home NAS I've had my eye on for a while. It has a really good combination of performance, power efficiency, and price. Reviews mainly complain about the UI. Currently it's $139.99 shipped from Amazon.com which is the lowest I've seen.

Thanks for the heads up. The asking price is pretty high. If anyone wants it, try contacting the seller to negotiate.

Anyone in the market for a new monitor? Here are some good 1080p gaming monitors.

BenQ RL2455HM - $200 - The RL2455HM is a gaming-focused monitor and used in Major League Gaming tournaments. It has a bunch of inputs - VGA, two HDMI, and dual link DVI-D - so you can hook up two consoles and a PC without an external switcher.

BenQ XL2420T - $315 - The XL2420T has also been used in MLG and other big tournaments. It has all the inputs of the RL2455HM plus DisplayPort and supports NVIDIA 3D Vision and a 120 Hz refresh rate.

ASUS VH236H - $200 (3rd party seller) - The VH236H is excellent for gaming and is the monitor used at Evo. However, it looks like it may be discontinued. It has VGA, dual link DVI-D and HDMI inputs.

ASUS VG248QE - $263 - This is what I have. The 3D Vision compatible VG248QE is great for gaming with a 144 Hz refresh rate and includes a DisplayPort input in addition to dual link DVI-D and HDMI.

so I was poking around online and I noticed that coinopexpress is able to source VOOT machines:
http://www.coinopexpress.com/products/m ... m_597.html

~$1400 plus shipping... elsewhere on their site they estimate that freight charges can run up to $1200 (which includes palleting)

so for about $2600 you could have your own VOOT Twin unit delivered from Japan, that's not bad all things considered.

How do you know the machine is from Japan, and how do you find out the condition?

The website seems to be based in Hong Kong.

It says on the listing where the machine is located... when viewing from the list: http://www.coinopexpress.com/products/m ... =75&page=0

As for the condition the site is not for "private collectors" like us, it's for arcade operators who don't really care about the condition just that the machine works and is capable of making money, they might be able to let you know about condition if you email them.

Newegg (via eBay) supposedly will be offering a nice deal on PS+ membership: $22 for a 1-year card. The limit is 5 cards per person. Some deal sites reported that it starts at 9 PM PST but it is past that time already.
