You said that the matching is based on what you think would make good fights. Is that true? Who am i up against?

Thanks neo helbeast for hosting the tournament. With some guessing I have created the bracket and hopefully it's good. Let me know if it's not and I will fix it. Good games!

Sandsfel, you got everything right, except you missed me vs. DaveRudolph. Menthol had the bye in round 2. Sorry for spoiling all your hard work, but now you've got to fix it!
Still, it's a lot better seeing the brackets in graphical form. Thanks for posting that.

Finally got all the vids up.
Link to the playlist: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gTNlyXrM ... playnext=1
Note that some of the videos are in lesser quality because Adobe Premiere, for some reason, crashed when I tried to encode them. So I had to use Windows Movie Maker

I think Sixfortyfive's Ajim is pretty decent. As for me, I don't have a decent secondary VR, so I chose Ajim to get those matches over with quick!Davo87 wrote:seriously Ajims in tourneys?

Re: US-International Tournament 3
I watched the videos and I was wondering...
Schooly, did you actually duck under my first Surfing Ram in the third round of the last finals match? For the life of me, I cannot figure out how that missed! You got all kinds of lucky!
But then again, so did I, since I wouldn't have even been in the finals if I had gotten matched against Menthol in the third round; he probably would have wiped me out. And I was lucky in even getting to the third match of the finals, so I guess we're even...maybe.

If Cypher is into his walking or dashing animation then the surfing ram goes over him.PhantomPhotonX wrote:Schooly, did you actually duck under my first Surfing Ram in the third round of the last finals match? For the life of me, I cannot figure out how that missed! You got all kinds of lucky!
And son, don't call me lucky. Call yourself lucky for maining a VR that has a special move that does 85% damage (to Cypher), comes out extremely quickly, has excellent homing, is extremely unlikely to be countered, and can be used 10 times in a round!

Re: US-International Tournament 3
I did not know that. Thanks for the info!
Believe it or not, I actually have the worst luck with that move. I may hit once every ten tries, if that. I only used it out of desperation, because I realized I was sunk.
I wouldn't say I'm lucky to main Temjin. It's a lack of skill on my part. See, I do so horribly with the harder-to-use VRs like Cypher that I resort to the easy ones like Temjin and Fei-Yen. Maybe one day I will learn to play the game like a pro, but not today.
I think it goes without saying, but I will say it anyway. Could we have the next tournament a little earlier, so that I don't have to stumble into work braindead from sleep deprivation?

Re: US-International Tournament 3
ah so the cypher walked under the ram then guard it. I thought that would be too good of an excellent timing to have guarded the surfing ram. Any other VRs can walk under it? It saves the stress of having to make a split second decision of dashing the right way.

Re: US-International Tournament 3
I got to look at the finals once more. One thing about Temjin should look out for is the distance he chooses to make a shot with his fwdash dash RW or his diagonal fwdash RW. fwdash RW fires 2 big shots but not as fast diagonal fwdash's 3 small shots which still hurts a lot. diagonal fwdash RW is better suited for firing just below 200m and it has 3 shots which has a higher chance of catching the descender. The 2 big shot actually takes a split second to come out. Its safer to assume the shot would hit atleast in CC distance, any further they have to time to dodge. In general approach things more carefully once Cypher flies out of your reach. I cant say any more since I dont main Temjin.

Re: US-International Tournament 3
It's possible to slide under it with some (most? all?) VRs. If you can hear it coming, then it's not terribly hard to dodge it on reaction.PhantomPhotonX wrote:Schooly, did you actually duck under my first Surfing Ram in the third round of the last finals match?
