Hi there!!

Post by Akuma_from_Germany »

Hello to everyone : )

New member here. I actually originate from the "arcade at home" scene - from the Japanese "candy cab" fraction to be exact - maybe someone here is also a regular at the Arcade Otaku forum?

Anyway, I have deep sympathy for VO since I played it on the Saturn over a decade ago : )

Haven't been playing VOOT due to the lack of an Euro release, but I admired the Virtuaroids in Shenmue 2 ;) Downloaded VOOT on XBLA recently and fell for VO again and just realized a dream in buying a VOOT Ver5.66 Naomi cart and a Ver5.4 Versus City panel to play on one of my arcade cabinets and I love it! Of course it's the first time I actually play using twin sticks, but it still rocks! : )

Planning to go deeper into the world of VO and even though funds are tight, I toy with the idea of setting up a VOOM rig...

Anyway - just wanted to say hello. Please be patient with me, in case I ask dumb noob questions ; )

Cheers.

Alex

Welcome! Zaarock and I are both regulars at Shmups Forum, which I think has a lot of overlap with Arcade Otaku. I might finally buy a candy cab myself, since I'll be moving soon and I'll finally have the space for one.

Got some pics? I've wanted to build such a setup for a long time.
