Good news everybody
Recently I moved into a new apartment, and with it, I got new internet. Now I've got 1.5 Mbps up, so I can finally realize my dream of streaming VOOT matches WHILE playing them.

I thought this would be about Force being announced for America. That's cool too, though xD Awesome news!

Too bad this isn't a year ago. The Watch Schooly School People channel would have been great for recruiting purposes.

Probably the same times that the people who would be interested in watching are playing themselves.MentholMoose wrote:So when is the debut of Schooly D Live?

Yeah, for us it'd probably be more interesting to watch you play randoms on ranked or player match lobby. Beat hbv502 for bonus

Re: Good news everybody
The stream testing went well last night. Around the beginning I was getting some bad jitter that made online games annoying (although not unplayable). But after I messed around with some QoS settings, now online games run silky smooth while streaming, even against Japanese players.
Thanks to neoKEN for helping me test!

I'm a total n00b when it comes to network stuff... what are your QoS settings like?Schooly D wrote:But after I messed around with some QoS settings, now online games run silky smooth while streaming, even against Japanese players.
I have port 53 (DNS) set to highest priority.
Then my Xbox's MAC address and ports 3074 and 88 set to high.
Then a bunch of other stuff at medium or below.
Seems to work, not sure if it's optimal though.
I also have a checkbox for TCP Vegas, but I have that unchecked right now.

Re: Good news everybody
That seems reasonable. I only have two internet devices on my network, my computer and my Xbox. So I just set the Xbox's IP address to highest priority (1) and my computer to very low priority (200). Before that, I tried just setting my Xbox to highest priority and didn't specify anything for the computer, but that didn't work well. It worked much better when I forced the computer down.DeepInTheHops wrote:I'm a total n00b when it comes to network stuff... what are your QoS settings like?Schooly D wrote:But after I messed around with some QoS settings, now online games run silky smooth while streaming, even against Japanese players.

Live again. This time I've moved the stream+chat to vo.org, since I think I can make it much prettier/cleaner than the site at justin.tv
