Re: Virtual On Force coming to XBLA?
Well, I've decided against buying a Japanese Xbox 360. If the game does manage to be playable on a US Xbox 360, I'll try it out, but I simply have no interest in VOF. I might buy the memorial box, but only because I'm a VO fan (I actually own the MARZ equivalent). The newest videos look really nice but the gameplay is not remotely attractive... everything from VOOT that I like is nowhere to be seen in VOF.

Re: Virtual On Force coming to XBLA?
While I'm the exact opposite with the speed issue (I grew up with OMG only so I prefer the slower, more tactical gameplay over the reflex-based approach though I love both), I really see what you're saying. It looks more like OMG, but even slower and with much clunkier seeming weapons. For some reason the camera angle or something makes it look horribly unintuitive to move compared to the other games in the series... I'm not getting a Japanese 360 for it either but if it comes out over here, I'll sure as hell buy at least one copy.MentholMoose wrote:Well, I've decided against buying a Japanese Xbox 360. ...and yeah, I'll probably cave and get the memorial box too ;.;

They are in the middle of preparing the artbook. That's only a work in progress printed on single pages, so the real thing wouldn't be ask thick. The 156 page artbook supposedly contains a word count of 25000.

Anyone who's buying this Collector's Boxset feels like they're buying it for the OSTs, the Artbook and the 2 Mini-Tangrams, with the game being the extra?

Don't forget the border break custom color code and the boob code. It's like they are jamming in whatever they can fit in the damn box.

Re: Virtual On Force coming to XBLA?
I think they're jamming in all of these bonuses for one of two reasons:
1.)It's the 15th anniversary of Virtual-On, so they want to do something really special
2.)They're trying to increase potential sales as much as possible, just in case this turns out to be a flop.
Now if they wanted to go the extra mile, they'd throw in a special figure or a limited edition model kit, although I think it's a little too late to announce something like that.

I doubt they would include a whole kit, but I won't be surprised if they do make a conversion kit(boobies!) for the Hagesawa Fei-Yens

I was thinking something along the lines of a 1/144 kit, but that'd work too.

Uh, you do realize that none of this will matter at all if and/or when it's revealed that Virtual On Force is indeed region-locked, right?
. Especially at Sega.
I know what you mean, MasterFygar. If and/or when we find out that VO4 is region-locked, I'm going to be SOOOO p*ssed offMasterFygar wrote:If we don't get it in America... I don't know, I'm going to turn into the Phoneman and smack SEGA with my Colorful Balls.

I LOVE those unlockables/extra modes. Arcade games arent worth buying without themSixfortyfive wrote:The idea that a competitive arcade game needs extra filler modes or unlockable content to justify its price is kind of bullshit. Always has been.
So, any news of a US release?

Trust me, you won't have to ask for the news, if and when it comes it'll be here in a snap.

I think you get different stuff depending on who you preorder it from.

From what I can read, you get the Temjin/Guarayakha clear files if you order through Sega's online store (not sure if you get both, or just one of the two) and you get the Fei-Yen card if you order through AmiAmi.

This far in and we still don't know if the damn thing's region locked!? Are they going to clarify it the day before it comes out or what?
