I was able to enjoy the trip this year, although I admittedly F'ed up by letting playoff football get in the way. When I realized what I missed, I was pretty bummed. Saturday afternoon was the perfect time to be there, and I was not. Oops. But I did get my fill of Smash Bros. Melee, because as we fans know, Melee > Brawl.
I guess the worst part was going by myself, because the two people I wanted to bring with me did not preregister, and thus they were not able to enter. That kinda sucked.
I'll have to make it up during Otakon this year, I guess. Another half-year wait begins now!
I really need to think of more conventions to crash, so I don't have to subject myself to these agonizing waits of fury.

Well, there is that one VOOT tournament that's going to happen later this month in New Jersey, if you're willing to make the trip...
