Still no mention of a date, or of twinsticks, from what I can see...
Hahahah! Google means business man. :P Anywho...yea ok, developers/programmers/producers/etc I figured that's what you meant. Usually what im referring to as well. Man...it's like living in 1999 again...VOOT getting all this attention. :D Isn't it wonderful?
I think it's better.

I mean, voot was hardcore in japan, but next to no one, to this day, knows what it really is in america..."this" simple act could change that.

We may well see another Virtual on, depending on the success of this re-release. We probably wont, but hey, dare to dream ^^

Dare to dream, indeed my friend. I totally feel you on no one knows what it is in America though. This re-release is just what the doctored ordered. I really think we could see a new VO though. I say it's very possible. Because once this is available...watch the gaming sites/mags/shows talk...VO is making a comeback. 2009 will be the greatest year in gaming history! *crowd rises and cheers*

Silicon Era:
In an official post the development team discusses a peripheral, but they don’t exactly announce it. They mention tinkering with key assignments and manufacturing costs which sounds like a prototype Xbox 360 twin stick controller is sitting on someone’s desk. However, the device is said to be rather expensive and it’s possible that the accessory could not make it to market. How much would you pay for a set of Xbox 360 Virtual On sticks?

How much is expensive, first off. Second off, i'd pay up to $100, resonably though $50-$75 sounds good.

OOO, here's an idea, they can sell the twinsticks packaged with a voucher for, like, half or full off the xbl download of virtual on, if the device ends up being rather pricy.

That wouldn't be too bad as long as the quality is there. At that price, if they were similar to DC Twin Sticks, which MRSP'd around $70, it would be disappointing.

I paid that price for my street fighter tourney sticks, and if they can equate the quality of those, then 150$ seems perfect for me! But hopefully they can go cheaper, I can scoop up 2, as I already have a spare 360. You know where this is going! Thank goodness for system link support

Nice find. It's great that they kept the VMU in.

The article says April, not spring. I still don't think it'll be April, though I hope they prove me wrong.

If it does come out in April, It'll be a big month for me, as OutRun and Lode Runner also this incoming.

Seeing the VMU in char selection gives the 5.66 nostalgia. If players can send replays to others ppl its an even greater plus. :P

I wonder if the VMU will stay for the final version. As for sharing replays, I think such a feature is included. In any case, it would be ridiculous if it wasn't possible.

I whould enjoy a vmu-usb adaptor for uploading custom colors and/or replays to the 360's storage unit. Probrably a pipe dream, but I doubt it would cost much to produce.....

Yeah, the arcade version lets you load "customized" VRs from a Dreamcast VMU. Note that the customization is limited to color scheme, icon, and quick messages. Some pics of a VER.5.66 panel are here:

Yeah, they ditched quick messages for the XBLA version, citing that with voice chat it is unescessary. I disagree however. I personally am not much of a talker (crap or otherwise) when I play competitively, be it online or in person. Quick messages or text messages in general I feel have more charm to them because you translate them they way you want too. Plus, I'd rather read what an 11-year has written ahead of time than listen to his pre-pubescent voice destroy my eardrums during a match.

True, but having both forms of communication at the same time is redundant. And since Voice chat would be the preferred method of communicating in the xbox live community, it only makes sense....

Now, can someone from SEGA tell me what "technical" issues they had with implementing the emblem system that was already in the game's code? We've already figured a few outside reasons, but if they say tech issues, I expect a tech issue explanation, and i don't think thats too much to ask for...
