I think your specineff is much better than your secondary. In casual games, I tend to relax on my defense . Also I do well against specineff while grys-vok and fei-yen matchups are 7-3 against bal-bados . Despite the "bad" matchups, I did quite well as you saw . I would suggest playing characters that you do play and work on improving them instead of playing characters that happen to do better in certain matchups. Japanese tournament, characters are often locked meaning the players have to be good in ALL matchups for 1 VR.

I wasn't aiming for a favorable matchup; I was just cycling through all the VRs I'm familiar with. It just so happens that they're all good against Bal except Specineff.

It's not just you, though; even against Menthol I seemed to do about as well with Fei Yen and Stein Vok as I did with Specineff.

Well, I have Xbox Live available to me again, I suppose I'm up for any challenges. I might challenge others, dunno. Guess I'll just wing it as I go. Actually, 9 rounds is sort of unfair for specineff (and some others I guess) since you can only use death mode once per game. Here you can use it on 1/9 of rounds while normally it would be 1/3.
