Seems like Porcupine and Co. are still active, and are participating in Japanese tournaments. It's been a long time since we've had a tournament of our own, mostly due to lack of interest.
Do we have enough people willing to participate in a new tournament? There's probably a way to ensure everyone gets a decent amount of playtime, e.g. dividing players into divisions where everyone round robins, and the results are used to seed into a playoff bracket. We seem to have made some friends on the other side of the Pacific, so maybe they'd participate too.
Anyone interested?

Re: Gauging interest in a new tournament
Well a lot of us work, so night or early morning Hawaii time or PST is all that works for me, or most of us anyway. Unless it's a weekend. Just FYI, I'm sick right now with bronchitis or something, and I'm probably going to be sick for months. This only reduces my fighting power a little, but more noticeably it reduces my fighting endurance, and most notably my ability to stay awake to play at all.
