Changing the sticks on a 3.3 Model 2 Sega VS panel

Has anyone tried to change the sticks on a MSBS 3.3 Model 2 Versus City kit panel?

That's this one:

The sticks are sub-optimal and the casing sucks imo. I got a spare Saturn Twinstick which I could take the grip assembly from which is identical to the 5.4 VS panel stick assembly.

Has anyone got an idea which joystick fits? Also, did anyone ever use the shaft and grip assembly from a Saturn TS on another Seimitsu or Sanwa stick?
